No, it's just that every character in Dragon Ball looks the same, just with differnet hair styles. Well, it's pretty obvious that I stopped making mine...and no one remembers it anyway . I haven't been keeping an eye on this thread but now I see both of your comics are going along pretty ...

Mmm...interesting question. I never thought of that. I mean, since the only intact part of his body left was his brain, he could've easily made himself look younger. Maybe he based his android body on his aged human body. Or there's no actual reason at all and it's just the way Toriyama designed him...

I read somewhere that Toriyama told them to change it to Z, but he couldn't change the manga 'cause it was already too late. Don't quote me on that.

Shenron was killed by Piccolo shortly after he wished for youth.

And yes, apparently the dragon god can't do anything as drastic as defeat beings stronger than his maker.

As time goes on, every artist's style begins to change. It's obvious in Dragon Ball 'cause it was published for quite a long period of time. I'd also guess that since the story was becoming more serious (as serious as Dragon Ball can get), the art style got a little more serious. And drawing the sam...

I'd imagine that everyone in Dragon Ball has the ability to sense ki, especially martial artists. Vegeta, as well as just about everyone in Freeza's dominion, wasn't trained to master this sense. But since Vegeta was so adept at learning new techniques, he picked it up right after he learned it was ...

Haven't really heard the band, but I'm guessing they're punk/ska. And it seems that your avatar is too big, or that's just the Angelfire direct linking thing. Whatever the case is, it needs to be about 80x80 and it's best to host a picture on Photobucket. It's free and reliable.

The most obvious difference is their nature. Ki is the life force that basically acts as energy/stamina. The body controls this ki to turn into chikara (power). Chakra is a sort of power that lies within the shinobi of Naruto. They are able to manipulate this chakra to boost their stamina or do othe...

It's much like the music scene. These fans are very much into a certain band, but once it gets signed to a major label and gets more exposure, the old fans start to hate it. Just yesterday, I was on the IGN boards (yes, I frequent the IGN boards too  , and going here is a real break  ), ...

Haha, awesome cover art. I like albums with those strange, random cover art that looks really sarcastic and cheesey.

In defense of Dragon Ball

It's been a while since I made my own thread (probably did it last time last summer). But last night, I was thinking about something that really bugged the hell out of me. As we all know, many (and by many, I mean the vast majority from what I've seen) fans of anime seem to bash Dragon Ball Z. Ya kn...

Yeah, I don't think this is necessary, as registering to this forum actually states you'll follow the rules. However, there are surprisingly users (mostly banned now) that seem to ignore the rules completely.

To further reiterate what askani son posted, just watch your grammar, since this forum is pretty tight on it. But for the question, let's just say that a lot of the movies can't fit in the main storyline, and I guess the appearance of Broly is one of them.

I always thought of it just as him moving between realms, as he is the god of Earth after all.

I always call it simply "teleportation." I especially hate the dub name...Instant Transmission? It sounds more like some sort of communication device.
