It's Virtua Fighter!

I hadn't seen the new special effects yet; they really don't help the experience.

Thanks for the info, guys. I didn't know that about the movies. Questions - Will the DBox versions of the movies be released in their own set, or will they be released with the succeeding DBoxes? If not, is it best to just splurge forth some cash on the double features? I have all 13 movies uncut, ...

At some point around 2005, I had already made the switch to watching all foreign material in its original language to experience the original voice work whenever possible. (Accurate subtitles are a plus, but sadly aren't as ubiquitous as we'd all like. *Ahem, Advent Children *) I'd still watch DB du...

That's an interesting question. How did you develop your interest in the show in the first place?

It's not the dub audio I like, I just really love vegeta's theme.... but anyways, thanks! I have always liked the piano/synth piece played when he first turns Super Saiyan. I'm perfectly happy to have the Dragon Boxes and watch the whole show through with its intended audio, but I've still got my d...

It makes sense that they continue to release their DB season sets for consistency, but having followed their DBZ season set run with the Dragon Box, I'm holding out for the same treatment with DB . Thankfully, I only bought two of the DBZ season sets and didn't splurge on all nine, or the original s...

Thankfully, I only picked up the first two orange bricks, so I'll actually be getting through the complete series for the first time with the FuniBoxes. Looking forward to the rest of them! Just as a point of reference, I had ordered another box set (Six Feet Under: The Complete Series) from Amazon ...

Just remastering is one thing, but whenever substantial changes are made, I like knowing that the creators (animators, director, etc.) had some input. Here, we're talking about color correction. Take Watchmen as an example. As of a few years ago, printings of the collected editions feature a new col...

I'm not looking for things to complain about, but I noticed a short instance of the picture breaking up at 02:01:41, near the end of episode 5 when Nappa is shown sitting in his pod. Nothing major, but does that happen on everyone's copy? Can you provide a screenshot? I'm curious Here's the offendi...

When I'm watching this on my surround sound, my receiver indicates the channel is only coming from the center speaker even when on auto. When I usually watch the FUNi DVD's, even though its mono, its 2 channell mono and my surround sound indicates this showing the "L" and "R" for the left and right...

Just watched the first episode! A few assorted thoughts on the audio issue: As has been stated, the Japanese track is 96 kbps mono. That's one channel at 96 kbps, which, going by godofchaos' breakdown back on page 13, is a respectable job. By comparison, the season set used a 192 kbps 2.0 track. As ...

Unfortunately, their videos on http://thatguywiththeglasses.com just link back to their suspended YouTube vids. However, between his site and places like DaizEX they'll at least be able to stay in communication with the fans and point us to wherever they end up hosting the vids, if YouTube doesn't w...

Dragonball Z doesn't really have that much wrong with it. They used the recycled animation, but how they forget how other anime at the time was using it much more often. Sailor Moon, anyone? At least they gave us the Kamehameha with different angles and animation each time. That's a good point. Sho...
