Re: Asian characters in Dragon Ball

I actually drew Vegeta as White and Goku as Asian, it makes sense if Toriyama says Saiyans look Asian but it'd probably be this way in a live action movie?

Anyone in the UK get the standard edition? Curious to see what kind of slip boxes they used.
I got it, it's the same kind as Broly. You can see it peeking out of the box in the third image on my Twitter.

Grew up loving X-Men Evolution, Gundam Wing and obviously Dragon Ball Z, he was so recognisable but sounded great, this sucks to hear.

Re: 4:3 Steelbooks - Inconsistent Subtitles?

Pretty sure this is just standard for Funi, right? The Dragon Boxes did the same, didn't they? Been a while since I watched them, but I recall noticing the same thing on another Funi release at the very least. Romaji one episode, English the next. The Dragon Boxes actually had Romanji and English a...

Re: Manga UK Releasing DBZ Blu-Rays and Steelbooks

I wish someone else got the licence, Manga have Dragon Ball through Toei, not Funimation, which means if someone like Anime Limited got the licence they could have potentially mastered their own release instead of just relying on someone else's scraps. Manga are lazy, ever since the days of DVDs, th...

I pre-order the Dbz Super collectors edition just a moment ago!
Same, did you get it from Anime-on-line.com? It's £125.99, it's like $150 everywhere else.

Re: If another US Live Action Movie was made, would you want a remake, or a reboot?

A 7 part film series based directly on the manga makes the most sense to me, but there's always people who don't like the manga/haven't read the manga, and people who would hate it no matter what for being a live action adaptation. I think if it just takes the elements from the manga and the main 7 ...

I think Manga already confirmed they're just the same discs as the 30th Box anyway.

Re: Is it fair to say that Dragon Ball is no longer marketed to kids in North America?

Wow, the Deadpool movies? There's copious amounts of sex (or heavily alluded to) scenes in the first one alone. I can't really see myself letting anyone younger than sixteen see one of those. I still think it's funny that they made an edited version of Deadpool 2, that was a 15 rated film, wh...

Re: How did you feel the first time you saw Bulma's panties in Dragon Ball?

Is this arousal-bait or something?? Anyways, I'll just quote Goku on this one: "What do I care about your dirty old fanny??" He definitely didn't say fanny . Funimation Goku, then. Oh, I wasn't thinking, it's kind of an awkward translation since fanny means vagina in the UK. 🤷‍♀️ When I was doing m...

He definitely didn't say fanny.

Anyway, any time I saw something like this in anime I just thought "Why, Japan?", but I don't care anymore.

I remember at the start of Yu-gi-oh, Yugi's showing the puzzle off and hopes it grants him a wish like the Dragon Balls.

I could have sworn CNX became a channel just as the Android Saga started, I remember I had Cartoon Network up to Trunks killing Freeza and then it moved to the new CNX and I had to go to a neighbour's house to watch it for a week until we got it.

Well, not entirely against it. There's a section where users share fan-edits of official products and users also PM each other with full DB content but okay, it's against piracy. :P
Oh I KNOW... but still, buy it, it's awesome, owning DB in Japanese is great!

This site is against piracy so I recommend buying them, you'll get a far better idea of the differences if you're actually holding the books, the quality is totally different.

I only own a few Kanzenban but I own all 32 volumes of the Full Color release, it's cool!

Re: It’s time for fans to come together and remaster the series properly.

Honestly, I've fantasized about being rich enough to fund my own crazy releases of Dragon Ball, highest priority for me would be getting Kanzenban sized versions of the Full Color release, with nice dust jackets, high quality printing, a brand new translation, the works. Remastering the anime (and r...
