Re: Kame Senin, Muten Roshi or Master Roshi

Master Roshi is his dub name. Muten Roshi is his "original" name and Kame Senin is his title of "turtle hermit" I believe.

Re: What-If Fusions

Or what if Tenshinhan never was knocked out at all, lol The fact that Goku seriously considered him for fusing together must mean it would have created a considerably powerful fusion. In that case you can also assume/deduce that Vegeta and Gohan are severely holding back against their little brother...

Re: What-If Fusions

No, but you can assume since they can fight against Vegeta and Gohan. In that case you can also assume/deduce that Vegeta and Gohan are severely holding back against their little brother/son who are just 7 and 8 years old. Of course, Vegeta wouldn't hold as much back as Gohan would due to his natur...

Re: Are Piccolo's battle smarts overrated?

Piccolo is also usually the first one to notice a fighter will not be able to win a fight before the other people around do i.e. Vegeta vs. #18, Vegeta vs. Cell, Trunks vs. Cell. He has a lot of insight, especially after he fuses with Kami.

I'm not really buying that. Is it officially stated somewhere?

Re: What-If Fusions

Hmmm. I have a hard time believing Tenshinhan-Yamucha would make a weaker fusion than Base Gotenks, but that's just me and it also depends on how strong you think either of those guys are individually of course. Personally I can never ever see Goten nor Trunks in their base forms be any kind of seri...

What-If Fusions

This question popped up a good while ago when I played Budokai 2: What if Tenshinhan and Yamucha actually fused in the Manga/Anime? How strong would they be at either Fusion by Dance or Potara? (I don't know the exact multiplier for each). Side question(s): Or what if Piccolo and Kuririn actually fu...

Re: "Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden" Discussion

I'm loving the recent developments for this game. The customization option could more or less be a test to how a CaC mode in a bigger game would be received.

Re: GBA game?

I think it holds up. It covers all of Z and involves a bunch of characters which you can unlock and use in a second playthrough. Very strategic and challenging gameplay.

Re: How strong did the humans get?

Ki based attacks don't multiply the users' ki. They are the users' ki. They happen to be stronger cause most characters know how to manipulate their battle power. Though Shin Kikoho Tenshinhan fired at Cell was his and only his ki. What I'm trying to say is that with the (Shin) Kikoho Tenshinhan ha...

Re: How strong did the humans get?

Personally, I don't see how anybody can think the humans - meaning Tenshinhan, Kuririn, Yamucha, Chaozu - didn't even make it past Captain Ginyu or Frieza's 1st Form by the later Sagas. When Frieza came to Earth, all the fighters - especially the ones sensing him for the first time - were shocked at...

Re: Base Saiyans > Piccolo

I don't know. Tenshinhan managed to produce enough force - albeit with the Shin Kikoho - to hold back Cell's 2nd form, whereas Piccolo (fused with Kami!) and #17 combined couldn't even touch Cell's 1st form after absorbing another load of humans. To make a little comparison, using Goku's base level ...

Re: Base Saiyans > Piccolo

I think the Saiyans' power in their base forms is more or less in the realm of the human fighters. The fact that Kuririn seems to think he actually stands a chance against them in the tournament after they agree not to transform supports this. Also, Trunks' fight against Tenshinhan - despite being f...

Re: Bob Sapp > Mr. Satan?

That's a heavyweight alright. Not a big one, but a heavyweight. Funny if you consider an absolute beast like Tenshinhan only being something around 75 kilos according to the guides and other muscular guys like Yamucha weighing in at just 68 kilos. Maybe in their early DB days, but definitely not in ...

Re: Bob Sapp > Mr. Satan?

That was back when Sapp's popularity in Japan was tremendously huge, primarily due to his Hulk-like physique. Even to this day, Bob Sapp vs. Akebono is still the highest-rated fight ever to air free on Japanese television. Which I don't doubt Toriyama was one of those watching it. True. Unfortunate...

Re: Bob Sapp > Mr. Satan?

Despite AT joking around I do think it raises an interesting question as Satan is one of few DB universe characters that fight and could actually more or less be placed in our universe since he doesn't have any super powers. Even though he is portrayed as a weakling by the Z fighters standards he is...

Re: If Kuririn Had Killed Vegeta...

Kuririn did just kill 3 Saibamen in that very same fight and that attack was pure killer intent designed to avenge Yamucha's death. Also, on Namek, Kuririn and Gohan did kill 2 of Frieza's soldiers.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion

Yes, yes he did, it's not an "outrageously random statement", check your facts. So I'll take that as fact. If the DEVELPOERS of a game are saying Japan doesn't want a CAC mode, it's safe to say it's not gonna happen. It's just like how Japan loves DragonBall and the Friea saga in Z and the US loves...
