Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sgyv_DwR1oc&t=0s Ends with the same teaser, but it also has a page about the DLC, saying that the three DLCs will be two boss episodes, the first episode being Beerus and Whis with SSG (and presumably the second episode will be Golden Frieza and SSB) and the third DL...

It seems like developers were initially going for Manga Art Style for DBZ: Kakarot.

The manga style graphics actually look much better I think.

Added some translations and uploaded them in HD. Currently at 18/485 pages redrawn. https://imgur.com/a/ER5rOmY Honestly dude... its not worth it... The original was perfect. Looked perfectly identical to the manga. While this guy's redraws ARE good, they just look like regular fan art in compariso...

Re: Dragon Ball and COVID-19

I'm off of work, so I've been spe ding the time re-watching parts of the franchise. Gonna see if I like GT anymore now that super is done. Hows everyone doing in the hard hit areas? It's hell for me. My daughter is very irritated because she can't play with kids and I have to home away from work an...

Re: Dragon Ball and COVID-19

This will impact everything in the world, from entertainment, education, medical, politics, etc. Once this is over, the world is going to be a very, very different place from what it was before. For the sake of this article, I'll only focus on entertainment, as that's what DB is a part of. Regradin...

Re: Dragon Ball Recut [COMPLETE], Dragon Ball Kai Recut [WIP, Saiyan to Cell COMPLETE], Dragon Ball Z Recut [WIP]

Nah, don't worry about it, you were just stating facts (I did say that, after all). Honestly, it's not going to take that much extra effort. I re-inserted the entire Yamamoto score into my Kai Recut; compared to that, a couple of insert songs is a walk in the park. How many of the insert songs coul...

Agreed. He seems like an insecure "nice guy". Disagree, he does not come off as insecure to me at all. Please elaborate on why he doesn't come off as insecure to you. Even if you have a big ego and act respectless towards others you're not nessecarely an insecure person. That's just guessing what's...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot" Official Discussion Thread

I hope 2 million sales is enough to get CyberConnect 2 back to do a sequel, or at the very least, an Enhanced Edition that puts back in all the content that got skipped over to keep this game under budget. Once we get all the DLC, I don't know if there'll be enough content to justify a sequel. Peop...

Re: Recording vs Buying In the 90's/2000's

Do you remember what groups you got the most from? Ctenosaur video sent me a+ tapes directly of stuff they subbed. Then I got some anime labs and random groups. I didn't get a lot on tapes. Some z movies, dB movie 4, gt 1-12 and some random dbz eps. I got a lot more VHS rips in rm and divx. And dvdr.

Re: Recording vs Buying In the 90's/2000's

You were able to get English fansubs? I was under the impression that most of those were sold in the US. The NTSC/PAL difference probably didn't help matters either. How were you able to acquire them? Well, internet existed and so did international shipping. I just got a VHS player that played ntsc...

Re: Recording vs Buying In the 90's/2000's

As a child, my family used to record shows and movies to VHS as it was much cheaper than buying official releases. For shows with as many episodes as Dragon Ball , how did you choose to preserve them back in the day? Well, in the 90's Dragon Ball wasn't even available on home video. I recorded big ...

Re: Which dub is more faithful to the original audio?

You seem like you didn't read my post. I wrote French dub of super and the new movies. I could add Kai there too. I did read your post. Has to be the Spanish Mexican dub for Z. Not sure about what's the most accurate dub for the rest but I'm content with the french dub. You didn't mention Super or ...

Re: Which dub is more faithful to the original audio?

I thought the list was only about English dubs. Once you bring in other languages to the mix, things get more complicated... The Latino Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese dubs, for the most part, tend to be really good from an accuracy standpoint (or so I've heard. English is the only language I spea...

Re: Its 2020, and Dr. Slump anime is still far from being completely translated...

I know of at least one group who's fansubbing the '80s Dr Slump, but I don't think they're even halfway through yet. The group doing the 80's sub isn't doing it in a real "proper" way though, or at least wasn't, maybe they've changed their ways now (used to do unchecked cross-language translations ...

I know of at least one group who's fansubbing the '80s Dr Slump, but I don't think they're even halfway through yet. I think another group also fansubbed the Dragon Ball crossover from the '97 Dr Slump revival? The group doing the 80's sub isn't doing it in a real "proper" way though, or at least w...

Re: Which dub is more faithful to the original audio?

I have organized myself with a project involving the entire Dragon Ball franchise being launched. Due to its large fan base I decided to include english dub. What is the most accurate dubbing for each product in the series, I don't care about inconsistencies in the cast, just the best and most fait...
