Re: How did Trunks beat Freeza?
Trunks was just stronger. The sword and Freeza probably not being at 100%, made things easier for Trunks, but Trunks would still win, it would just take longer. The whole point of Trunks giving the sword to Cold was to point out that the sword wasn't the reason why he won.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Imo, the most meaningful thing about the page is the fact that the beam has changed direction, meaning that Piccolo is controlling it, not that there are two beams.

Re: Pirating Dragon Ball (discussion)
I don't see why you would look at something through a purely legal lens and not discuss the moral issues. In this specific case it just muddles the issue. Copyright exists mainly to protect economic interests. So, the best viewpoint to have regarding the issue is through the consequences to those i...

Re: Pirating Dragon Ball (discussion)
piracy is in fact a form of theft What is theft is strictly defined on the law. And what is piracy is strictly defined on the law. That's just confusing legal concepts. They aren't purely legal concepts, they are moral concepts. Trying to frame the issue under moralism tends to put it under a black...

Re: Pirating Dragon Ball (discussion)
If the only allowed use of a product is when the creators of the product recieves compensation for its use, and people decided not to give the proper compensation yet still use the product, couldn't that be infered as stealing their compensation? No, the law defines strictly what constitutes theft ...

Re: Pirating Dragon Ball (discussion)
But when it is all said and done, what they are doing is wrong, and they know it. Whether you take a physical disc of a shelf at a store or download a file without giving the creators their share, it is taking and using what does not belong to you; stealing. Legality of the term itself notwithstand...

Re: In my opinion, after the Namek arc, DBZ was a let down
I disagree with that analysis. You have to look at the Freeza arc through two prisms. The first is Freeza has the objective of getting a once in a lifetime chance at immortality. He's being very cold and calculating because he doesn't want to take any chances. If the Ginyu's are overkill so be it, ...

Re: Why is everyone able to put up a fight against anyone now?
Has Super really given us anything this egregious though? It's not like we had Krillin and Jiren going toe-to-toe, with nobody batting an eye, and no explanation, which is about what your example would be comparable to. It's common practice to use hyperbole while using an example to clearly the dem...
http://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en/pages/final/0530.png
Though I love how badass Gohan is in this page, isn't a bit OOC? Not really. Gohan is supposed to be smart and in this segment he is not only facing his old fears (old enemies) but also trying to come up with some opt...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Gohan did say he was the weakest one participating in his group. Or was it U16 Gohan? Either way, he's saying that Gotenks is stronger than him so it's not unprecedented that some weaker fighters surpassed him. The comic did specify that he was lying, by saying "big lie", as you can see h...

I don't think it follows that logic. I don't even think they consider SSJ3 Goku stronger than Gohan right now, let alone in the Buu saga.Doctor. wrote: I think Multiverse functions under the logic that Boo arc SS3 Goku = Ultimate Gohan. Would explain why Goku felt he needed to use SS1, I guess.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Why wouldn't he be? Don't know how the power scale works in this comic, but aren't Majin Fifth Form Freeza and Coola supposed to be stronger than a SSJ2? The same thing with King Cold who fought Bra? Is Piccolo stronger than that? Fifth form Freeza isn't supposed to be much stronger than fifth form...

Re: Pirating Dragon Ball (discussion)
I know. If the companies want to discourage pirating they should take action. In Europe, especially Germany, movie companies are already fining people for torrenting their movies. That would be a step in the right direction to combat piracy. That doesn't really work. Want to combat piracy? It's sim...

Re: Pirating Dragon Ball (discussion)
I don't see why people think it's okay to download copyrighted material for free like the DragonBall series when people like me have had to pay for it. It's just entertainment and you're not entitled to it, even if you don't like the way the series was or is released. It's not okay, but that doesnt...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Too bad they don't share this thought when doing these special chapters. We can just ignore the specials, so it's inconsequential. I honestly believe the specials should air concurrently with the main story and not interrupt it as it so commonly does. That way it doesn't jar me out of what's happen...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
There's some logic to it, with the Majin power-up working based on the evil in your heart and then drawing out your dormant power -- Piccolo Daimao is literally pure evil (not even Freeza/Vegeta/etc. "pure evil," he's MADE OF the expelled evil from Kami), so you could say that's why he ge...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Piccolo Daimao seems too strong. Agreed. Piccolo Daimao had to be waaaaaayyyy stronger than the manga one for this result. Piccolo Daimao + Kami = Probably around Semi-Perfect Cell level. That's not an automatic result. In the manga, Piccolo + Kami resulted in a being that strong because Piccolo ha...
