Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

Np, it's just better to spend time in more productive topics! so I was wondering about a strength Formula I developed recently related to the films continuity based on toriyama statements and in-film statements. beerus was stated to have been using about 70% of his power while goku was using 80% as ...

Re: is dragon ball technically a spin off of dr slump?

I don't think it fits in this case. There is nothing in Dr. Slump that begets Dragon Ball (at least, not as far as I know). You could read the entirety of Dr. Slump and find hide nor hair of anything Dragon Ball-related. Dragon Ball is created entirely independently of Dr. Slump. Later on, they hav...

Re: is dragon ball technically a spin off of dr slump?

It's important to note that the crossover with Dr. Slump wasn't an instant thing. It wasn't until the middle of the Red Ribbon arc, 81 chapters in and almost two years after the manga began, that the Dr. Slump crossover actually happened. There were of course some references before that (such as Pi...

Re: dbs broly follows anime or manga?

like others have stated already, it's part of the films continuity (what toriyama considers as a continuation to his manga) The anime is TOEI continuity The manga is toyotaro continuity. nothing hard to get. obviously stuff from those two will not appear in it unless it came from it in the first place

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread

why is this debate still a thing? Jiren was specifically stated to be above belmod. belmod resorted to trickery (pretending to be down till last heavily weakened god) to try winning in the gods' tournament instead of facing heads on like the others, even though the priest specifically prohibited tha...

is Dr. Slump returns for a little bit canonical?

This work caught my attention as I've just finished reading dr slump recently and stumbled upon this by accident when searching for other dr slump related works. What intrigued me the most is the meeting between GT and dr slump in it. is there any statement regarding its canonicity? https://vignette...

Re: is dragon ball technically a spin off of dr slump?

Nah, the word ‘spin-off’ isn’t really appropriate here. You’ll never see anyone describe Dragon Ball Z as a spin-off of Dr. Slump.Dragon Ball and Dr Slump are their own things. Toriyama just thought it would be fun to connect the two. spin off is defined as: ''a by-product or incidental result of a...

Re: What is the dumbest DB fan theory you have ever heard?

The Moon is closer to the Earth in DB than it is in real life. that's not a theory. that's a plain headcanon. even toriyama went out and stated that the moon is at least 380 thousand Kilometer from earth :wtf: Unless an artist is willing to make geometry - based angular distance calculatons every t...

better yet, why not just write a ∞ and call it a day. like seriously, those numbers are absurd. official material state Yakon level of Power was 40M. I’m still waiting for explanation for why those numbers are absurd. The lack of it makes me think you just haven’t one. The official material you mea...

What does exactly mean “decent gaps”? SS Goku (vs. Freeza) - 150M SS Vegeta (vs. No.18) - 250M No.17 - 300M Cell (1st stage) - 350M Cell (2nd stage) - 800M Super Vegeta - 1B SS Goku (vs. Cell) - 2.5B SS Goku (vs. Yakon) - 4B SS Goku (vs. Beerus) - 4.5B So, that would mean at his regular form, Goku ...

since we are talking about broly. i would like to exploit take this chance and state a most unpoupular opinion. super saiyan berserker is the form broly uses in the DBZ films, and it effects greatly his actions, and personality during those two, as seen with kale, whatever he does in this form, is o...

Re: When Did The "Legendary" Super Saiyan Form Become A Joke?

toriyama lesson for the day is: S-cells, high level of Power, and a Pure heart!. that's all you need to Unlock the legendary super saiyan! The common way fans explained it before was that Goten and Trunks were conceived when Goku and Vegeta had it so they passed it down to them. I personally would ...

Re: When Did The "Legendary" Super Saiyan Form Become A Joke?

However, basically straight afterwards you see a 7 year old and an 8 year old gain this legendary form without experiencing any struggles or hardship (especially in Trunks' case) to gain it. There wasn't even a clever way of explaining it, they just got them handed to them on a silver platter. It m...
