Dragonball works much better as a CW style TV series than a movie. I would start off with the Saiyan saga but I'd add flashbacks to dragonball , like they do with Oliver Queen in the Arrow. The heroes lost, that's a fact. They gave it their all but no matter what they did they could not save the future, in fact the entire multiverse was destroyed, it doesn't matter if Zamasu won or lost all that matters is that they failed.

It doesn't matter if Zamasu won, what's relevent is that the hero's failed. I wonder how this will affect goku and vegeta in future arc? They gave it their all and they still lost, maybe we might see some character development out of this.
