Re: The height conundrum
I think the most notable inconsistancies in the anime alone that I've seen were from Vegeta and Freeza. Especially in the Majn Vegeta arc, when he proposes his challenge to Goku he looks really small like a quarter of Goku's height, then when he fights Goku hes the same height as Goku exactly? Then ...

Re: What would you change about Dragon Ball GT?
I'd keep Pan, but just make her less annoying. Pan brought a different side out of Goku, his paternal side. Plus it's nice to get a female on the show every now and then. However, the fights would be more intense. That's one thing that bugged me, the fights. Super Saiyan 4 was supposed to be a huge...

Re: What would you change about Dragon Ball GT?
I never liked the design of SSJ4 Vegeta at all really, it just didnt look right with his character to me. First off his hair is brown and he has a mane underneath his original hair style... eww.... The colouring overall just doesnt look right for him to me. He looks like an 80's rocker to me. Goku s...

Re: Which DBZ Arc you hated at first, but grown to like it
People here give the Cell saga a lot of flak for it's flaws(funny how fans of the American version of DBZ seem to love the Cell saga, yet fans of the Japanese version hate it), And why is that? The Cell Saga had the most depth and actual strategic thought put into it... the Buu saga was just nothin...

Re: "Explain why DBZ is bad."
You'd lose that bet. I prefer DBZ because I thought the majority of DB up until the Piccolo Daimao Arc was boring. I prefer the direction that it took at that point, when more action and a darker storyline was introduced. I also consider the Buu Arc to be one of the two high points of the series (t...

Oozaru (Low-class) vs Godzilla
Assuming that power multipliers are irrelevant in this comparison, Who would in in a fight of raw power?
(Most people pin King-Kong against Godzilla but I think Kong is too underpowered.)

I think the Saiyan super strength will carry on in the humans but the SSJ potential will be bred out.

Re: Will Z incorporate elements of GT?
I don't know how they could use GT content outside GT unless they were to do a full scale reboot... but I want the shadow dragon saga to be the final ending of DBZ in some way, it just feels like such a interesting turn of events. Then they would learn to live without relying on the dragonballs so m...

Re: "Explain why DBZ is bad."
DBZ is more known, but that doesn't mean it's mostly preferred to DB. In MY experience, practically everybody who's watched both DB and DBZ (or read the manga) prefer the DB portion. I can agree with this statement somewhere. A lot of people who prefer DBZ have never seen DB or ignored it because i...

Re: Your Thoughts on a CG/"Advent Children"-Style DBZ Movie?
Off Topic but holy shit that looks good, really puts AC to shame. I actually agree here. People go on about how amazing the eyecatches for Kai looks and how they want an entire Dragon Ball anime to look like that. Hell, lets extend that to movie #14. They all look so shiny and plasticy, it's really...

Re: If You Could Change The Previous Villains.
I would Cut+Paste Doomsdays character bakstory and give it to Broly . I think it would fit him perfectly and get rid of that ''kakarot kept me up at night'' trauma out. I would also have him hate Goku because he looks like Bardock. Ièd say that He hates Bardock Because Bardock tried to asassinate hi...

Re: Your Thoughts on a CG/"Advent Children"-Style DBZ Movie?
I'd say no - I don't think Dragonball Z's art style owes itself very well to CGI realism ala Advent Children, and based on my experience of CGI Depictions of other Anime series' such as One Piece I think that Dragonball is probably better off left in 2D Animation. Theyd have to really nail a refine...

Re: "Explain why DBZ is bad."
Outside the movies and GT, I actually dont think he even beat anyone himself after dragonball. He just advanced the progress of the good guys.Kid Buu wrote:To be fair Goku was basically involved with every big bad's defeat. The only exception are the first two arc, because he was the final villain of those arcs.

Re: "Explain why DBZ is bad."
Tenshinhan, who literally does nothing in his free time except farm and train. Piccolo is in the same boat. It didn't help any of them avoid being trash to Goku after his random, end of arc power up (magic water, absurd zenkai, improved ROSAT training). Tien shown the most actual martial arts skill...

Re: "Explain why DBZ is bad."
I don't know if I can really get behind that. Why should other characters be criticized for their power ups but not Gokuu? Even if he is the protagonist, he still inhabits the same laws of nature everyone else does and should therefor be under the same level of scrutiny. I don`t agree with that eth...

Re: "Explain why DBZ is bad."
Numerous people have posted massive walls of texts explaining their views on the issues brought up in the original post, but you just ignore everything and make posts that are only a sentence long. And this was after you complained that nobody that addressed them, thinking it was proof that DBZ is ...

Re: "Explain why DBZ is bad."
He didn't simply get his ass kicked once or twice then suddenly become dozens of times stronger, like Goku and Vegeta did in that very same arc, or get several times stronger by essentially absorbing a strong fighter using a technique that was never known to the audience before, like Piccolo. Sure ...

Re: "Explain why DBZ is bad."
And Gohan didn't? He's completely incompetent in the first two arcs save for his moments of rage, and most of the time he gets the ever loving shit kicked out of him immediately after those said moments of rage. I mean, if I wanted to write a masturbatory-esque fan fic, I wouldn't have this happen ...

Re: "Explain why DBZ is bad."
The only Deus Ex Machina that was legitamently BS to me by that definition was Kid Gohan. Somehow he can surpass everyone time and time again just by getting angry... and this hidden power nonsense was just ridiculous... Then ultimate Gohan being renouned as the strongest individual Z fighter preBo...
