It makes sense for Goku, but Vegeta looks skinny too without SSJG.

I laughed more with the dub than i ever did with the japanese original.
I guess when you can't rely on the sound (don't understand japanese) it kinda breaks the humor. Subs are useless for this kind of gags i'm afraid, it's more about the delivery and tone in my opinion.

The overall art style of SF4 though is hideous. I second this, it's a like a weird mix of cell shading and models trying too hard to resemble the older sprites, which results in something that looks pretty hideous.
