Re: "Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters" FUNimation English Dub Official Announcement and Discussion Thread

I hope that even if we don't get the TFS version (which as said, we 99% can say we won't), that the scene at least gets redubbed as opposed to just reusing the old dub. The old dub of the scene is already amazing, but a new dub is one of the best highlights of Kai. Glad it at least made it into the ...

Re: Your opinion of Norihito Sumitomo

He's better than Mark Menza's work on the GT dub. Which, uh... isn't saying much. I don't actively dislike his work, but it doesn't really impress me. Kikuchi, Tokunaga, Yamamoto and Faulconer all had their fair share of memorable tracks that I adore, while the most memorable tracks I can think of i...

The Italian DBZ theme What's my Destiny is really good.

Re: Dragon Ball Super's Timeline

Seeing as one of the major points of contention in establishing Super's timeline seems to be how often the Dragon Balls are used, how would it change if we made the assumption that Dende upgraded them again to become active in roughly the same amount of time as the Namekian Dragon Balls? I mean, he'...

I've kept away from Kai because I heard that it was a victim of rampant censorship. Blue Mr Popos, no blood, etc. That only occurred for the US broadcast on children's TV. The uncut version of Kai available on DVD and Blu-Ray still has blood and black Mr. Popo. (There's a few minor instances of thi...

Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread

So, I bought the game now that it's available out here. It's pretty fun. Sticks are stupid, but not a big deal. Fire Emblem Fates had actual gameplay features removed, which is stupid and I hate it, but I bought that game too and enjoyed it because it was still fun. Anyone who wants to complain abou...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread

Right, having Sabat voice Kid Vegeta again wouldn't be ideal especially when they switched to Laura Bailey for Kai. I mean, its still inconsistent having another actor for him in Super but it fits Honestly, considering that Bailey played him in Kai, I figured they would've got Tipton to do Kid Vege...

Re: 17 is using HUMAN ki?

Wait, so what's the difference between the human ki and the cyborg ki? ... Is it his aura?

As for contributing to the Genki Dama, he didn't need to know how to use his natural ki to do that. Everyone else on Earth donated ki, but they don't know how to use it either.

22nd Tenkaichi Budokai 18>8 (HOW) Honestly, that arc is downright infested with filler. The fights themselves aren't particularly padded, but then between each fight you have half an episode of Tsurusen'nin dicking around and trolling Bulma and the others. I remember when I first showed Dragon Ball...

Jaco the Galactic Patrolman needs to be animated. I'd love to see the cast and story of the manga fully animated. It'd also give anime only viewers an explanation of where Jaco came from.

How would you determine the Kickstarter's goal? And what if you reach the goal and the network still turns it down? What happens to the money you're given? You actually need the official parties involved to have a hand in the situation from the start, you can't gather a bunch of money and just say &...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread

I swear, I heard Pilaf call Shu 'Shou' or 'Show' in this episode. I'm pretty sure that happened in Resurrection 'F' too. I think it's an old pronunciation that appeared in the 1995 dub with the Canadian cast and was corrected for the in house dub of Dragon Ball ? No idea why it would be making a co...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Bang Zoom Dub Official Discussion Thread

I doubt we'll ever see a home release of this dub, but I really hope it gets one since these cappers are totally incompetent. There's a lot of potential here to create an 'ultimate dub'. I don't want another Westwood situation where I'm forced to relive it through TV captures forever. I definitely ...

I really like Krillin and all the other new voices in this episode were pretty solid.

The Oracle Fish being referred to as male (and I'm pretty sure voiced by a man) feels odd though, has its gender actually been confirmed? Nakagawa and Rial's performances always made me think it was female.

Welcome, Erika! Thanks for joining us here, it's awesome to have another voice actor from this dub here! (That makes 2 Bang Zoom actors and 0 Funimation actors!? Unless you count Sean Schemmel, but it's been seven years since then.) As someone of the younger generation of voice talent who grew up in...

There's no legal way to watch it in the US even. It's limited to TV broadcasts in Asia and India. We're lucky that we can see it at all thanks to people in those countries uploading recordings.

I'm pretty keen to see how this turns out, reminds me of an old edit combining the Funi and Pioneer dubs of Dead Zone. (And seeing as the link to the actual result of Ashura's work is long since dead, I've popped it into my Dropbox account if you want to check it out.)

The only thing that caught me off guard was Chi Chi saying to Bulma happy birthday girl! As if she was trying way too hard to be hip. Isn't Chi Chi like 45 or close to it here lol Chi Chi's actually closer to Goku's age, if not the same age as him. Bulma's 38 by the time the party rolls around, so ...

No problem, man. And like NintendoBlaze pointed out, it's nice to have you on the forums because that shows you're interested in the fandom (I've never even seen an official voice actor like Sean do this. Not hating on Sean, just being honest). Sean Schemmel actually was a member here several years...
