Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai: Season One & Two - 22nd May 2012!
As far as I know, no-one has actually confirmed with FUNimation that the "Season One" re-release is going to have the Kikuchi score in it. We assume it will, but I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere. I certainly never heard back. Actually, there's is a confirmation: http://www.rightstuf.c...

Re: Chances of Another Dragon Box for Japan
Actually, Toei Animation did re-release Fist of the North Star again in this HD remaster set which included corrected colors and those remasters are in the sets that Discotek Media released. I believe the older remasters for that series are used for the singles as well as the streaming video on curr...

Or British on some occasions. I know I've been mistaken for one because of our accent. Reminds me of times when I was playing some Halo 3 on Xbox live and people would question where I was from because of my accent. Person: Where you from? Me: New Zealand Person: NEW ZEALAND?!? Lol, I remember bein...

At this point, I don't really care Drummond uses over 9,000. I gotten to a point that I really don't care about the inaccuracy of it. For better or worse, it'll always be part of the English Dragon Ball fanbase. It even spend on the Mexican dub of Kai with Vegeta saying "nueve mil!".

Re: Dragon Ball Zee vs Dragon Ball Zed
Not sure if any of you are aware of this or not, but the letter "Z" is pronounced "Zed" in some countries, like the UK and the Caribbean Islands. I think that was kinda the entire purpose of this thread. Then, to be frank I really don't see the point. If we know that some countr...

Re: Dragon Ball Zee vs Dragon Ball Zed
The Japanese call the letter Z "zetto," and I believe it derives from a language where it's called "zet" (Dutch maybe?) The letter Z comes from the Greek word, zeta and pretty much every language made from the Latin alphabet uses the letter Z, so each one has it's own way of pro...

Re: Ultimate Uncut Special Edition Vs Dragon Box Z
The Dragon Boxes have better packaging and is much more collectable than the Ultimate Edition editions. Picture quality wise, it depends on what you're looking for in image quality. The Ultimate Uncuts has the same masters for the Level sets which according to some folks are accurate to the Japanese...

Re: Dragon Ball Zee vs Dragon Ball Zed
Yeah, but that's the point, like, for British folks, I noticed they pronounce it as Zed, so Zee is not the only pronunciation. Oh? Is it really all that common a UK pronunciation? I profess ignorance. I've heard a few British fans on Youtube at various points, but there wasn't a "Zed" in ...

Re: Dragon Ball Zee vs Dragon Ball Zed
The two pronunciations are one-to-one English-Japanese counterparts. We speak English, so, "Zee." If you speak a language with the "Zed" pronunciation, "Zed." If you want to be really asinine, you'd have to call it "Doragonbooru Zetto" and talk about how much...

Dragon Ball Zee vs Dragon Ball Zed
Back at my own Dr. Slump forum Penguin Village Paradise, we are having this side conversation about how to pronounce, well, Z. One interesting point was when the Japanese actors pronounce Dragon Ball Z, they pronounce it as Doragon Booru Zetto . As everybody knows, in the U.S., we pronounce Z as Zee...

Re: Techincally Kai is completely pointless.
The whole purpose of Kai was that it would be the Dragon Ball anime 100% like the manga but they still kept some filler and removed some actual stuff that was in the manga. Since they did that, what's the point to any of this? They can't actually say that Kai is filler free and kept exactly like th...

Re: DragonBall Z Kai - Cable TV Version (NickToons)
Yeah, but still, the ending for the Majin Boo saga doesn't end in such a high note as the one for the Cell saga , in my opinion. Sure, it might be out-of-character that it ends with Goku saving the planet, but still, it ends with a high note by allowing characters to reflect on Goku as a person and ...

Re: DragonBall Z Kai - Cable TV Version (NickToons)
I really enjoyed episode 97. I know most of you guys are disappointed that Kai removed the Majin Boo saga, but damn, the ending for Kai at the Cell saga felt much more sad and is overall better than the ending for the Majin Boo saga. In the Majin Boo saga, Goku left off with some random dude, saying...

Re: Did Funimation put just as much effort in? (Not Sub vs
I say both sides equally put in effort when it comes down to the show, saying that Funimation didn't put any effort isn't true at all. Granted, the Japanese side of things have to animate stuff, etc., but Funimation also puts effort in licencing a product, putting out home releases, dubbing the show...
