Since the series really is just Dragon Ball , that's the name I try to use when talking about it. Admittedly to do so runs the risk of confusing whomever you're talking to and you might have to spend time clarifying that you mean the series as a whole instead of the pre-Z anime, and the only payoff ...

There's no way the Saiyan arc as it was written would have been a fitting end for Dragon Ball . It stands above all other arcs as being the one that best leads into the next. 1) You have Vegeta and Nappa name-dropping Piccolo's species, 2) They eventually say not to worry about keeping Piccolo alive...

I would hate it, obviously, and I'd stop supporting their products as much as possible, turning instead to piracy if a competent, proven subtitling group was around. If that wasn't possible I'd probably teach myself the basics of subtitling my own DVD rips. I mean, if it was just the names of attack...

Two things are funny about that scene.

1) #17 was just shot in the face by that old man only one page ago. (#17 even reaches for his gun.)



2) Somehow it's better that he bashed his fucking skull in instead.

Interesting to note that the DVD is Region 2. Hope you have a player that can region change. Computer should be able to do it but many laptops these days lack an optical drive. I've had multi-region players for years. A good one these days is the Seiki 4K upconverting unit available from Kmart, Ama...
