Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Animation Staff Discussion
World Trigger is losing its timeslot this April . If this means that World Trigger is ending then it could free of some staff, like Koizumi Noboru and his wife Izumi Kyouko. Koizumi was an animation supervisor for Dragon Ball GT and is one of the best animators working on World Trigger . It could a...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Animation Staff Discussion
So, speaking of Dragon Ball Super: what's up with the animation issues that have been happening? The animators responsible for those scenes are newbies who just started working at this level in the industry And you're letting newbies work on a multi-million dollar franchise like DB because ? Becaus...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #33]
Also what you say about someone changing key animation at the last moment is pretty scary. One badly animated episode in the uni 6 arc is nothing, but if they keep fucking up like this, Super can start digging its own grave

Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #33]
I don't know where this ridiculous misconception comes from that Z had worse animation than Super. It really doesn't. If you're referring to me, I never said that Z was worse animated than Super. Thats not true AT ALL!! What I mean't was that Z definitely had worse episodes than episode 33. Yes, I ...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #33]
There are Z episodes that look a lot worse. I would understand the bitching if it was episode 24-25 tier, but it wasn't that freaking bad. Thumbs up! I think people are finding Super worse than the worst parts of the series before it simply because they are not used to the new (albeit shitty) art-s...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
I don't care that much about the position, what is more important is the increase of DBS ratings in relation to the previous week. I'm expecting super to surpass episode 1 ratings by the next few weeks. To be honest, this week surpassed my expectations. I didn't think it was gonna do so well. The re...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
I think toei should start giving super more importance animation wise. It won't happen. To Toei, Dragon Ball Super is just another cheap show to make a decent profit off of. Just like One Piece, PreCure, Sailor Moon Crystal etc. Geekdom in one of his videos said that in Toei they have a great respe...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #32]
^^ I insist that there are very good scenes in that episode. Where is it that you guys turn clips into gifs?? Goku squeezing the beerus's ki blast, the little fight scene at the very start of the episode, when beerus slams Goku into an island and then Goku manages to break free with a headbut, Beeru...

There were pretty nice fight scenes in that episode.Ajay wrote:There wasn't anything noteworthy in episode 11, though. The episode was just very on-model which doesn't really mean much. Episode 11's strength is in its writing.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #32]
But... it's drawn great  It's not that its necessarily badly drawn, it just doesn't look that much like Dragon Ball. But some shots in that scene are definitely weirdly drawn. For example: http://i.imgur.com/5edj6I3.png http://i.imgur.com/QnFoexR.png And this shot was also kind of akward: ht...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #32]
It's clear that he can animate fluidly without sacrificing detail and introducing all of the jelly-formism. I think the biggest pity is that for a lot of people, he's going to go down in the annals of Dragonball history as the episode five guy . Yeah, my favourite cut of his so far has been that po...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
I think toei should start giving super more importance animation wise. The last 4 episodes have been GOLD, all four of them, except the clip show episode and even that episode was enjoyable in the parts that weren't recaps. I'm optimistic for the content that we will be getting in the next few month...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #32]
Ratings in japanese television, true. But the amount of people watching the series overall outside of japan has decreased dramatically after episode 5. But it is also true that some people are watching it again after the Uni 6 arc began. The retelling also afected the interest people had in the ser...

Yes, I've noticed this.Kuririn Fan wrote: Yes! Yamamuro is the best, but for some reason he is not liked here very much.
But why?? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the most nicely animated episode in super I think was animated by him (ep 13). Or so I heard.
