Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
You know when the image is upscaled/blown up to 1080p the grain is actually rather obnoxious and bothersome. And for context I am referencing the images of Goku/Nappa/Krillin above.

Re: Comparison shots from every single DBZ release
Disclaimer: keep in mind the unfairness in comparing DVDs and BDs. Obviously DVDs are going to look blurrier being 480p rather that 1080p. Superfan2024 , you should copy and paste my spoiler tag and its contents into the opening post, and add comparison shots from others as they get posted. So that...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Sorry for the double post but due to the site corruption I can't avoid it. Someone on the /r/DBZ subreddit posted this from FUNimation Support Hello (Name), Thank you for contacting Funimation Support and for your interest in the 30thAnniversary Dragon Ball Z set! In regards to the music content, th...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I know it's mostly known at this point ( I think anyway) but the day FUNimation announced this I emailed support with questions about the audio options and I finally got an answer. Thank you for contacting Funimation Support and for your interest in the 30th Anniversary Dragon Ball Z set! There will...

Re: Help Guide for DBZ Funimation Singles DVDs (links + screens)
You know that you can just snag these on eBay in bundles (Saga sets with or without the boxes) for decent prices. That's how I did it. "Decent" not sure you you define that but okay. An auction just for the Saiyan Conflict boxset went over AU$100 and then another AU$70, it would have cost...

Re: Why were 4:3 AR screenshots used on the Orange Bricks?
I've always wondered this too and it's such a shame because it would have sold much more if it was 4:3.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
FUNimation has the NEP clips because they were using them back in the early 2000s when DBZ was airing. I was only 9 or 10 but I specifically remember them being shown. You're talking about Funimation's "Next time on DRAGON BALL ZEEEEEEE!" previews, right? Were those even based on the Japa...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Bruce Faulconer confirmed (Not that it was doubted) and Nathan Johnson for the first 67 episodes until Faulconer takes over until EoZ. Support messed up and said Mark Menza but they mean Johnson. Plus FUNimation says the process used to remaster this series isn't the same as the Level Sets. https://...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
After a week of going back and forth on it, I caved in and ordered a set. Worst case scenario and the transfer is crap: I'll keep the figure and artbook and sell the discs on ebay to make some of my money back. I'm still hopeful that we can convince Funimation to switch over to the raw film scans b...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Sorry for the wall. Well I figured I will finally give my thoughts on this whole fiasco. First things first, those two videos from Ajay are the absolute definition of salt. But rightfully so because we have never gotten a proper release of the series. In my personal opinion the closest I myself have...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I busted out my singles to get a comparison from the Single vs 30th which amazingly shows the 30th adding more picture than the single has. I also forgot how blocky the singles were WOW! http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/133702 This is the Gohan picture comparison. https://i.imgur.com/8NhLw...
