Re: Are these subs accurate?
Take this with a grain of salt, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that while the EU got the Japanese voices they also got dubtitles. So you're reading the adapted English script; whether it's accurate or not depends. I've heard great things about the translation for some of the games that do...

Re: Why were the Japanese DB fans so upset about Infinite Wo
I always surprise that fans enjoy the game when reviewers didn't seem to enjoy it that much. Reviewers =/= fans. Reviewers didn't like it because they have the mindset of "another year, another DBZ game" so they automatically deduct points for that without even playing it first. This argu...

Re: DBZ Budokai HD Collection: Official On-Going Thread
And also, if I'm right, the NTSC/US will feature uncut cutscenes. Dammit, the PAL owners are getting screwed again (the advantage of the PAL version is that we get the Japanese voices for B1). I'd take Japanese voices for the entire game over getting to see Raditz' fleshy hole for five seconds any ...

Re: DBZ Budokai HD Collection: Official On-Going Thread
The uploader of those videos commented on one of his videos saying that in the PAL version Budokai 1 only has Japanese voices, and Budokai 3 has both English and Japanese voices. It's likely they ported the PAL Collector's Edition of Budokai 3 that added the option for both. The PAL Collector's Edit...

Re: DBZ Budokai HD Collection: Official On-Going Thread
It's not silly when you can still get the original version for cheap. Being natively HD isn't that big a deal, your TV probably does a decent job on its own scaling SD material to fit your screen. It comes down to if you'd rather have the game look marginally better than have the original soundtrack...

Re: DBZ Budokai HD Collection: Official On-Going Thread
Direct gameplay footage from (what I'm assuming is) the European version. Japanese audio makes me think the ports really will just have the audio the original releases included, so dub only for America and sub only for Europe. Also here's the intro to Budokai 1 from the European version . Europe go...

Re: Did the acting in Kai get lazy after Freeza?
I'm not trying to be a jerk anything, it's just extremely annoying when someone tries to counter a complaint with "Well it's not as bad as it used to be" and "I should have figured those guys on Kanzenshuu would complain about the dub". And yes the topic was originally about the ...

Re: Did the acting in Kai get lazy after Freeza?
Plus, I may be playing devil's advocate here but aren't we being over analytical over a mere throwaway line. It's not like the old dub where they were EVERYWHERE. Oh what am I saying? I should be more use to things like these on forums. But I digress from my point, there is no evidence from the TV ...

Re: Did the acting in Kai get lazy after Freeza?
We all know Goku wouldn't even know what the internet is. Maybe, maybe not. You don't really know one way or the other. I mean, he can't be -completely- unaware of the world around him, no matter how dumb WE make him in our version. The internet was not a thing most people knew about back in 1993 w...

Wow, what a bullshit comparison. They must not have any faith in the port job if they need to mess up the old version screenshots to make the HD release look any good.

Where on earth is IGN's review of this game for lord's sake. Why do you care so much? Have you not read enough reviews to make your decision? Is IGN some bastion of journalistic integrity that no other site can match for you? I can pretend to be an IGN writer and tell you Dragon Ball Z For Kinect i...

Re: DBZ Budokai HD Collection: Official On-Going Thread
"Earn All Achievements" is only worth 65 GamerScore, Namco Bandai should've given this one a 100 GS. What does it matter? Once you have all the achievements in the game you'll have the full 1000 points anyways. It's stupid when developers keep the platinum trophy in 360 versions of the ga...

Re: Dragon Box: The Games
I think that was just Atari releasing Tenkaichi 1, 2 and Super DBZ in one box. Nah, I know about that one ("Dragon Ball Trilogy"). This was specifically a Japanese release of the three DBZ/Budokai games in a special box. It may have just been that you could order the box itself later on. ...

Re: Why did they add copyright symbols?
I remember there being a topic about this years back regarding Budokai 3's use of ™ and ® symbols, and I think the conclusion people came to is it makes absolutely no sense when they decide to use ™ and when they decide to use ®. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9cSc5P3C7I For instance, Goku is ® an...

Re: DBZ Budokai HD Collection: Official On-Going Thread
Same here, Japanese voices in Budokai 1 were really the only thing that was making me think "Okay, maybe I'll get this eventually." Without that there's nothing I'd get out of this release that I couldn't by just playing my old PS2 copies. I even have the proper Greatest Hits version of Bu...

Re: What Dragon Ball game do you want to see in 2013?
The PSP is dead seeing that they are pretty much done making major games for it. It would make sense for them to do a Vs Tag 2 on the Vita. No it doesn't. It doesn't make sense for almost anyone to make Vita games right now. The Vita has sold 2.2 million units worldwide since it launched in various...

Re: DBZ Budokai HD Collection: Official On-Going Thread
I'm disappointed they didn't do anything fun with the achievements, but to be fair I don't really know what they COULD do that would be fun. Achievements for just progressing through the story mode of a game and unlocking everything are always lame.
