I hope that the manga at least gives a bit of a recap of the fights from the exhibition. The chapters are about 40 to 45 pages, you can probably cram in three fights in it to recap the begining.

I think Toyotaro underestimated how many more chapters he was going to have left with the future trunks arc. So at the time, he probably had an idea but at this point in time, I doubt it.

Mine was in 2008 (I have watched clips here and there before then) when Yo Son Goku and his Friends Return and since their was no dub, I watched it sub. As well the Bardock special, Battle of Gods and Super I have watched sub since then.

Another thing, when you try to mention things about GT or Movies, but some fans dismiss it as non canon and keep on saying "Why bother, it's non canon, so it doesn't mean anything..." as an example.

Despite the first 2 arcs being all over the place in terms of writing and quality, the arcs since then and slice of life episode have been satisfying enough. Far from perfect but so far I am enjoying it.

It was standard practice back in the day, companies think that if it wasn't some kind of modern music to american kid's taste, then they may not like it. Luckily it doesn't happen much anymore.

While I still think the Buu arc is one of the more weaker arcs, I loved Vegeta every single moment in this arc. His storyline gets resolution. From where he sacrificed himself and him having the revelation that Goku was a better fighter then him.

If you want to collect all things Dragonball, then sure. However, if your not all that interested, then I'd say just stream it.

I think people are taking for granted just how much weaker the Saiyan arc is without experiencing Dragon Ball first.
