No power-up will ever top Goku's first Super Saiyan transformation and the subsequent Freeza fight.

I dunno. Not to come off as condescending, but I think a good amount of people aren't good at introspection. I'd have picked Bulma but personality-wise, she was only tolerable to me in certain sagas. I actually found her annoying a lot (especially in the Pilaf and Namek Sagas).

Design-wise, I actually like 1st Form Cell because he looked like a scary insect monster and therefore seemed very threatening.

However, Cell 1st Form is probably more disgusting simply for that insect aspect alone... which looks less threatening with each transformation to be honest.
