remastered http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/9052/vlcsnap46916os8.png Dragon Box http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/6629/vlcsnap27852gm8.png I hate how in the remastered sets, so many of the ki attacks (one of the most prominent aspects of DBZ) are brightened to the point of blurriness.

Dude...that soundtrack's awesome! I'm a guitarist, so I'm a sucker for shredding over fast, heavy, and/or just plain catchy grooves. Nice synth work, too. It makes me want to pull out my Black Mages albums. :D

There's a little bit more of Goku's aura and the sky on the top of FUNI's release than the DragonBox shot. Granted, Piccolo's foot is more substantial than the s...

Oh, and Sigh-on just sounds weird. I figure that's why they say " Say an". I remember coming across the word "Saiyan" in writing years ago, before I heard it pronounced on the show. "Sigh-on" was the pronunciation that came to mind. The best of both worlds would have b...

Like he said later, that story mode list isn't definitive. We've seen footage of Goku vs. Turles, ending in a triggered event where Goku wins with a Genki Dama. The movie stories, or at least some of them, should be in there in some capacity.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for the Japanese BGM, but I'd love it. The American music does have the credentials of guitarist Steve Lukather and Tower Of Power's brass section, so there's some legitimately great musicianship going on... but it has no connection to DBZ. (Then there's the way the same t...

Yeah, when I run across people that think the show is for kids, I'll make them watch the scene from DBGT where Pan flies up to golden oozaru Goku and shows him a photo. Nothing helps to convince people of your maturity like cartoons about girls flying up to giant, golden, insane apes, showing them f...

Re: Dragon Ball Thoughts of Others

I am seeing the same thing happening with Naruto in many ways. When it was "cool" and niche the hardcore ate it up, but once it went mainstream these once lovers of the series turn on it. Happens with music, too. People love to be in on "underground" acts, but dismiss them as so...

Speaking of the ROSAT, does anybody know why the game authors always try to make this room "better" than it was in the show (or in old 2D-games)? I mean this whole northern lights-thing or similar attempts. Why don't they just make a good old all-white ROSAT like it was in the show? Wasn'...

When the fact that I'm a Dragon Ball fan comes up, I'll openly acknowledge that it's not for everyone, but for nostalgia or whatever reason, I love it. I don't go around trying to convert people into DB fans (the way I do for Firefly  ). It's not perfect: some see flaws, others see quirks. For...

I remember a scene where evil Tommy pissed Kimberly off, and she came back with, "Excuse me for living!" Ah, classic MMPR and its soap opera moments. :P
Now I'm curious. I want to see some Ginyu Zords!

Oh, I would fuse with an Oscar Mayer wiener
That is what I truly want to be
'Cause if I fused with an Oscar Mayer wiener
Everyone would be in love with me.

That "As it was originally intended" line continues to blow my mind. I'm considering making special goggles to crop and blur my vision, so I can see the whole world "The way it was meant to be seen."

I do prefer the Ocean voice cast, partly because it's how I got into DBZ, but just as much because they handled Beast Wars , which still holds a place as one of my favorite shows. Ian Corlett was fine as Goku, but the real draw is Scott McNeil's take on Piccolo. That voice is just flat-out cool, no ...
