Re: Super Episode 131 (25 March 2018)

This arc was both expected and some of it unexpected. The expected: The fairytale no lasting consequences ending. The Vegeta gets pummelled and defeated episode (because Vegeta will always end behind Goku in a fight) Freeza playing the anti hero and having a big role in the end. The humans played no...

Re: Could Vegeta be a descendant of Yamoshi?

I'm quite certain Vegeta is a distant relative of yamoshi, but so is Goku I think.
The fact that he looks just like Vegeta is a dead give away.

But I guess Goku will probably have a closer relation to him somehow, because well....he's practically a god now, he's probably royalty as well. :problem:

Re: What's up with Tenshinhan this arc?

In his own episode, meant to showcase his prowess and leadership as a martial arts master, he got fooled, manipulated and later on punked by Roshi. In the following episode, he was in a tag-team battle where clearly he was the weakest link and just all-around seemed like an indecisive and inexperie...

Re: Would Freeza becoming a good guy be considered good writing or bad?

I'd say bad writing at first, but if it's done right it could actually become good.
But as of now Frieza is inherently evil so...no, he'll never ever be a goody two shoes.

Him helping Goku at the moment only serves his own selfish needs.

Re: Regardless of quality, Are you going to miss Super?

It had it's moments I guess. The Zamasu arc being the best one in my opinion. Before the TOP I was going to rate DBS a 7 out of 10, But now after the tournament ratings dropped to a 5 out of 10 overall. I really didn't enjoy this last arc, and even though we still don't know it's ending it doesn't r...

Re: Super Episode 130 (18 March 2018)

The writing remains thoroughly shit for me. I get what they want to do: Jiren's the guy entirely out for himself and Goku, in a twist, is supposed to be the guy not being selfish for once. On paper, that's pretty great, execution wise I don't really feel anything. Jiren's motivations for how and wh...

Re: Super Episode 129 (4 March 2018)

It was an "okay" episode I guess. These last episodes have been decent, but nothing special. 80% of this tournament was just plain boring to watch, and these last episodes can not save this arc for me. It basically comes down to these possible scenario's. Dream scenario = Goku defeats Jire...

Re: Why have the climaxes for Super been so unconventional?

But, that's happened like, several times throughout Super already. What would be the point of doing it again? Hopefully the film is actually a direct continuation of the TOP, and actually provides the payoff to Goku's character that he really hasn't received in Super. Maybe losing to these characte...

Re: Why have the climaxes for Super been so unconventional?

With the exception of Ressurection ‘F’ (and even that required a last minute save by Whis), none of the major arcs in the series have had the heroes actually defeating the antagonists. Goku lost to Beerus, he forfeited his match against Hit, Zen-Oh was the one who got rid of Zamasu, and [spoiler]Go...

At first it was just a lust thing on both sides, and after Trunks was born it gradually turned into love.

Re: Why do westerners like Bulma x Vegeta so much?

No matter if people like them as a couple or not, I do think they have the most interesting dynamic so far. Lets be honest, NO ONE ever saw these two coming. Vegeta used to be a terrible person, and I never would have ever guessed him becoming a family man one day. They started off bad, but were at ...

Re: Why Krillin wasn't wasted in TOP

Take away the pre-hype I do not think people will be as disappointed. Krillin in Revival of Freeza was a retired fighter since the Buu arc. In the manga Krillin says hes out of shape and is the most hesitant to join. And seemingly the only one lied to about the 10 million zeni. So whatever Krillin ...

Re: Who was the worst Big Bad in Super in your opinion?

There haven't been all that many "REAL" bads in Super. Copy vegeta is the only one who comes to mind. But I'd say Zeno is the baddest bad, I mean...he wipes out whole universes for his own amusement. So I vote for Zeno as being the best of the worst. He has a terrible design and as a chara...

Re: So it is true Super will end with Episode 131?

Super ending doesn't preclude the possibility of another series coming some time down the line, but as of right now there are no indications of another one being planned or in the works. Furukawa and producer Satoru Takami both think (and this is just their personal speculation from what I can tell...

thus part of the story. Now, take a look at GT: Unless there's some Infinity Gauntlet shit going on, I really don't see how it would fit into the main story. Did Shin and Kibito randomly decidice to fuse back together? Did Goku and Vegeta forget about SSG/SSB/Ultra Instinct? Did Beerus and Whis dis...

When has that literally ever happened in the history of Dragonball? Almost never,I now. The F Trunks arc was a rare exception. But loss used to mean something in the history of Dragonball, now they are way too laid back about it. So if Dragonball is terrible at creating meaningful repercussions, th...

Except you know, all the times his lost throughout Super when it really mattered. When did it really matter then? Every battle he fought went fine for him in the end, he became chums with whi's and Beerus, he killed Freeza at the last moment, the mini tournament was won. Except for Zamasu, but that...
