I feel like Goku vs. Cell would warrant a mention I think it's leagues better than Gohan versus Cell, but I think they'll ultimately go with the Gohan fight over Goku due to SSJ2, Goku's sacrifice, and the Father-Son Kamehameha. Yes, and it’s honestly a shame. When all is said and done, the manga will not be able to stand on its own. No one will ever be able to do a pure read of just he manga and get Super’s full story.

I mean, it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger, no. The film’s story is completely resolved by the time the credits roll.

That said, it’s quite obvious Super will be continuing and with Broly as a prominent fixture.
