Re: Best PAL DVD of Bardock TV Special?
The Spanish release is not sped up, it was field-blended to 25fps to keep the original NTSC speed.

Vegeta can control his Great Ape form, and he was considered to be pure of heart during Battle of Gods, so he'd probably qualify.

Re: Dragon Ball Movies HD Remaster - Amazon Video/Netflix Japan - Discussion Thread
Not sure how much they considered this in their production, but a 4:3 production would make it much easier to air those films on TV back when 4:3 was the norm. Like I said, they were 4:3 safe, but framed for 1.85:1. Come to think of it, I actually don't recall if the versions aired on TV (and those...

Wasn't Bojack already in early DBZA (he was trapped in Kaio's planet and used to say random lines back then)?

Re: Dragon Ball Movies HD Remaster - Amazon Video/Netflix Japan - Discussion Thread
As it was explained to me, the jump from 1080p to 4K is massive, technologically speaking, but the jump from 4K to 8K is basically nothing.. In plain math, 1080 to 4K is a 4x increase. 4K to 8K is a 2x increase. So mathematically it is less impressive. Except it doesn't actually work that way. 1080...

Re: Why did some people call Vegeta, "Bejita" in the early 2000's?
As far as I know, no international dub actually used Bejita, by the way (though the NGN subtitles might have? Dunno). Or Torankusu (though the Galician dub used Toranks). But the Latin American Spanish dub did use Pikkoro.

How does that matter? All objects on Earth were restored right before everybody was revived. In that aspect, restoring Android #8 is no different from restoring a computer or a car.

Re: GT Singles vs GT Green Boxes, which should I get?
PAL DVD players will usually convert NTSC to PAL60 on the fly. And most TVs created after 1995-ish will also support NTSC signals natively.

Re: GT Singles vs GT Green Boxes, which should I get?
By the way, "R1" is in relation to the DVD region. R1 = US/CA, R2 = PAL/JPN. R2 from JPN is NTSC, not PAL. A Japanese DVD player that doesn't support PAL will be unable to play, say, the MangaUK DVD releases. On a different note, much like how not all R2 releases are PAL, not all PAL rele...

Re: GT Singles vs GT Green Boxes, which should I get?
The Singles are practically Dragon Box quality (as Funi received a proto Dragon Box master of GT back in the day)... or at least they would be if it wasn't for Funi's macroblocking issues of the time. One advantage that's undeniable is that both the Japanese audio and the Funi English dub are treat...
