Re: Next Episode Previews

Yes. Every release (that I know) of every version of Dragon Ball Kai has Next Episode Previews. Where did you get the idea that it wouldn’t?

You can easily find them on YouTube with a simple search or on any other kind of streaming site that can’t be talked about here if you know what I mean...

Re: Manga Logo Catalogue

Few notes on the Dragon ball Super section 1. The Dragon Ball Super Logo that you have used is not official. It is a fan-render. 2. The main Dragon Ball Super Logo, the one with the Kanji on it, has a gradient variation similar to BoG and RF, and a fully-2D version like the Z Anime Logo. 3. The logo...

Re: Kanzenshuu Members' Favorite Series (2019 Edition) ROUND 2/3

With the thread going stagnant for a week, I have decided to start Round 2. If you remember how I did it back in 2016, the top 4 Highest-Rated series will be put in a 1-on-1 bracket to go down to the final two series, and Round 3 will start some time after that. In the meantime, here are the updated...

Probably not the best place to ask this but I didn’t want to make a whole new topic in Website & Community Discussion, so I’ll just ask here. Is there a Kanzenshuu Community Discord that exists? If there is, how do you join?

Re: Toei Animation celebrates 30 years of DragonBall Z with new licensing deals, products and events!

I REALLY hope this wont get booed. I REALLY do. Why would you think that? The only reason I could possibly think of in the moment would be Faulconer fanboys raiding the concert just to boo and hate on the fabulous music by Kikuchi. Also, on a side note, I would love to see the reaction of a Faulcon...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

They still haven't released the series in HD with Japanese title cards. So they got that option going for them lol That's actually one thing that annoys me. The orange bricks got japanese title cards but GT and Dragon Ball didnt. And on FUNimation.com when you stream dragon ball in japanese you get...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

What the hell happened to Nathan Johnson's music in this set? The recap is now using Mark Menza from GT. Apparently the Recap music used from the UUEs and the Orange Bricks aren't in this one? So instead of this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bfHw1Jf07Q It's using one I can't even find...

Re: Original Dragon Ball anime to be released on Blu Ray in Spain

Agree with Scsigs on this one. It looks fine. Not amazing, but not trash. Also, it seems that we get a tiny bit more footage all around the edges? That's nice I guess. Better than cropping.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

Does anybody have any screenshot comparisons from an Episode that isn't Episode 1? FUNi has always had a crappy version of that episode compared to the rest of the series, so I excuse the cropping on that one only. Anything from 2-291 would work, but ones that have a Level Blu-ray comparison would b...

Threw together a comparison with the screengrab Ajay posted: http://www.framecompare.com/image-compare/screenshotcomparison/DWPLGNNX Wow. That is just bad. Especially when being compared to the unfortunately canceled Level Blu-ray sets. I understand why FUNi has to do a little bit of coping, to hid...

Kanzenshuu Members' Favorite Series (2019 Edition) ROUND 2/3

EDIT 11/17/2019: Click HERE to go to the start of Round 2 Since I'm starting to come back to the Forum more after a five-ish month break, I decided to do another one of one of my most successful threads here from 2016, where all of the main Anime Series were put up against each other in a Eliminatio...

Re: Dubs that have been aired by more than 1 country

Japanese version aired in USA. In which TV channel? The Original Japanese version of Dragon Ball Z aired in America on the International Channel, from 1997-2002. Somebody who watched the show then during that time could probably give better information on it than me, not being around back then. Jee...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

It's really shitty that people actually fell for this release and all 6000 got sold. Such bullshit and once again, Funimation now has no reason to change. Except it didn't sell that amount, it sold about 3,500 copies as far as I can tell. I don't understand? The website says it's sold out. Why woul...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

FUNimation has the NEP clips because they were using them back in the early 2000s when DBZ was airing. I was only 9 or 10 but I specifically remember them being shown. Yeah, but the thing is, when Toei provides FUNimation with their masters for Dragon Ball Z, they got the footage for the Next Episo...

Re: The Broli movie will use dub names in its subtitles, at Toei's request. Could this become the new "standard"?

Well, I watched the Broli movie through. I found it interesting that they kept the proper spelling for "Vegetto" instead of using "Vegito" (despite the movie having Gogeta in it, they reference Vegetto by saying they can't use that name again and need a new one), but otherwise t...

It will most likely have it too unfortunately.
Bad news. The Manga UK Version also uses Dub Names in the Subtitles.

Re: The Broli movie will use dub names in its subtitles, at Toei's request. Could this become the new "standard"?

The dub very rarely uses Son Goku (much less Son Gohan and Son Goten) so does it mean it'll be always Goku, Gohan and Goten? This is an enormous downgrade. I hope it doesn't affect the Spanish, French and German releases but if they rely on the FUNimation scripts then they will. I wouldn’t think so...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I’m pretty sure the reason is FUNimation just has a bad print of Episode 1. It’s been mentioned on the podcast many times, and the picture can prove it for itself, but it just seems to be that FUNimation, wether it be the Digi-beta or Film Print, just always seems to get a bad master of Episode 1 fr...
