Re: Can the genkidama be used as a beam?
Yeah, the only way to make any sort of beam varriant a viable would be to have a very rapid charge time. If Goku could gather the energy maybe five or ten times faster, using it as a beam could work. And it would avoid the need to stand around with your arms in the air until enough energy was collec...

Re: Can the genkidama be used as a beam?
I really doubt it. All of the energy from the attack comes from outside of the user, it's entirely dontated, and beams likely require a constant push of fresh energy to keep them going. I don't think Goku could summon the energy fast enough to maintain a beam of any real size or power.

Re: If Goku and Vegeta had gone into the RoSat together?
Vegeta would have come out exactly the same, Goku would have come out weaker. Vegeta would have insisted on training alone, so his training wouldn't have changed. Goku, without anyone to spar with, wouldn't have gained as much power as he did.
In the end, Cell would have killed everyone.

Re: Did Bulma and Vegeta eventually marry?
Marriage is a sacred sacrament between a man, a woman, and Kami-sama. I support traditional marriage, not these liberal politically correct Saiyan-Human marriages. It's sick. What's to stop men from marrying shape-shifting animals? Or Artificial Humans? It's a slippery slope. And the King of the Wo...

Re: Why don't these forums expand?
I tend to check out the chat room around noon time and it seems like most people on it are never on. Noon is, in my experience, a bad time to try and chat. Everyone's either at school, work, or in bed. Later in the afternoon, going into evening and well into the late night/early morning hours, tend...

Re: Explain this to me
When did Raditz lift up a truck? The only truck shown at any point during the Raditz storyline was the farmer's, and he never touched it at all. In fact, as far as lifting something, I don't recall Raditz lifting anything heavier than Gohan the entire time he was on Earth. Might be anime only (soun...

Re: Explain this to me
I never got what the big deal with this scene was. Even if regular Goku can't lift 40 tons, so what? The problem is that people feel it's too inconsistent, since we saw Raditz lifting up a truck (easily 4 to 5 tons) back in the Saiyan saga (which Gohan says that Goku could do, too). Goku, by this p...

Re: Surviving Saiya-jins
Hmm, true. It's not like he really needs a body guard. Even as a kid in the Bardock special he was at least as strong as Nappa, if not stronger. And now I'm wondering if Raditz lived only by pure luck. Freeza chose to keep Vegeta and Nappa, who may have been the two strongest (recorded) Saiyans aliv...

Re: Overestimation of Broly's power ?
Personally, I have Movie 8 LSS Broli a little above Cell arc SS2 Gohan, and Movie 10 LSS Broli between Boo arc SS2 & SS3 Goku. Yes Thank You. Most people don't see it but it is there. In movie 8 Broli was able to easily able to fight two FP SSJ, two grade 2 SSJ and a Super Namekian. Except ther...

Re: Surviving Saiya-jins
Well, when Trunks transforms into a Super Saiyan, Vegeta seems pretty damn sure that there could be no surviving Saiyans other than him, Gokuu and Gohan. So it's safe to assume that there was no other Saiyans but them. And prior to Raditz remembering Goku Vegeta was certain that there were only 3 S...

Re: Surviving Saiya-jins
Based on the quote Herms gave, I think it's safe to assume that Raditz was off with Nappa on one mission while Vegeta was off on his own elsewhere, on a different mission. So if the entire point was just to keep the Saiyan prince around as a 'pet' there wouldn't have been need to keep Raditz and Nap...

Re: What Dragon Ball game do you want to see in 2013?
I certainly wouldn't mind a fully 3D modern remake of LotSSJ. An action RPG using the Sparking! engine as a starting basis could be fun, too. I still need to get a DS so I can get Attack of the Saiya-jins. I've wanted to play that for a while....

Re: Surviving Saiya-jins
Yeah, it is a little overused, but it also allows so many possibilities. My survivor wont be a lost sister or brother, though he might be Goku's uncle (from his mother's side). That's how it's shaping up so far, at least. Anyway, I'm still trying to square away the low number of survivors with the e...

Surviving Saiya-jins
Because of a new Fanfiction idea I've been developing, I've been putting a good deal of thought into the destruction of Planet Vegeta and how many Saiya-jins survived, and why and how they did. Unfortunately, I can't remember what was directly said in the series about survivors. Did Raditz or Vegeta...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Woohoo, go Pan! I'm hoping she wins this fight, I want to see at least one of the Pan's make it through. As for the topic of a "Heroic Cell," I had the idea for a story like that once, where obtaining his Perfect Form sort of broke the hold Gero's programing had on him. He didn't just sudd...

Re: How strong would Goku have been with out earth's trainin
Yeah, I don't think the Mafuba would work on Raditz. Isn't it specifically designed for Demons/evil things? So the only villains in DB/Z it would work for would be King Piccolo and his kids, Dabura, and Majin Buu.

Re: Avatars galore, DragonBall and more!
FMA:B is unusual because there's several strong female characters in the series, which is quite uncommon. Olivia in particular is such a strong character that she's actually kinda scary. It's a femme fest, but it's understandable, the series was created by a woman. Yeah, the lack of strong female c...

Re: What Dragon Ball game do you want to see in 2013?
I know, I've been drooling over the idea for a few years, now, and already have most of it plotted out in my mind. Saiyaman would be Player 1, with Saiyawoman was Player 2. Mr. Satan would make cameo appearances. And being from an in-universe perspective there's no stretching of the imagination as ...
