Re: Was Son Goku Full Powered SSJ3 against Fatty and Kid Boo
Now THAT would have been hilarious. Goku dies, everyone freaks out. Then Goku gets up, smiles, lowers his voice and says "now, let's get serious" as his SSJ3 power is restored...and a halo forms over his head o.O Seriously, though. Goku is usually one of the moral reliable self-judges in t...

Re: One off techniques that really would have helped
I'd imagine the carrot ability would work like with Buu's henka beam- a more powerful opponent would resist or reflect it. I think every character really ought to have been taught the kienzan. Imagine that being spammed by people not named Kuririn. Freeza had the right idea, but got careless. Grante...

Re: Was Son Goku Full Powered SSJ3 against Fatty and Kid Boo
I've got a supplementary question to the OT- is Goku at Full Power when he was fighting Fat Buu (hypothetically) the same as when he fought Kid Buu? I ask because Goku fought pretty evenly with Kid Buu, and lost because he couldn't charge up a decent enough attack. He lost to the strain of SSJ3. But...

Re: Something I always wondered (transformaitons)
It would probably depend on the nature of the transformation. Some transformations are temporary modifications, a "combat mode," to help channel ki. Super Saiyan would fit, and Piccolo's enlarging. These would be very susceptible to being cancelled out if interrupted, just like they are po...

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
People need to stop pissing and moaning about levels like this, especially if it's for a card game. They need new forms and gimmicks to sell the series and cards, it's not like they're shoehorning it into canon. Pissing and moaning? As consumer's of a commercial product, we have just as much of a r...

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
In Dragon Ball Heroes we see Trunks fighting Majin Buu, hence the need. I would prefer a Super Saiyan 2 Trunks, but I guess this is kinda cool. Maybe we'll see a Gohan soon as well, it's a Super Saiyan 3 bargain sale! Hm, I still question "ability." Two folk actually attain SSJ3- a dead g...

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes
Does SSJ3 poll well or something? Vegeta I get, but Broli and Trunks, you'd think SSJ2 would be a hot feature. What about feasible leaps, like (arguably) a pre-upgraded Gohan or one of the Goku/Vegeta fusions following Gotenks' example. They should certainly be capable of it, being stronger than the...

Re: Dragonball Vs. Non Dragonball
I hear SM has character that can fight and move at FTL speed. From what I have known, SM is a stronger series then Dragon Ball. When does this happen? I spent years waiting for anything close to resembling a decent-ish fight to occur. Rarely saw any fisticuffs if Mars or Jupiter weren't involved, a...

Those links so didn't play right for me. If anyone wants, I ripped them from Youtube way back when (and I think converted them to .mp4 to watch on my PSP). I could plug in the external HD and see if I still have them.

Re: Is anyone's favourite manga not Dragon Ball?
My favorite manga series is Bio-Booster Armor Guyver. The one problem with it is the release schedule is haphazard. Yohsiki Takaya doesn't have any assistants, and has some health problems, so it is rarely on schedule. But then, we only got 8 volumes translated by Viz many years ago before they drop...

That one part to Ginyu about the 'if you were a cat/dog I'd ect. ect.'. shit was so fucking stupid I refuse to even quote the correct lines. Aww c'mon, what was it? Now that you reminded me of it, I have to hear it again. It was so inappropriate! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnxF3McTkoo Thi...

Re: Episode #0223 (20 June 2010)
Nono, don't misunderstand. I'm not challenging the notion that Freeza wasn't presented as stronger. The manga says nothing on Cold (that I recall), and then later has Gohan imply that Freeza, scary as he is, is still dogging it. So even with the anime having Vegeta say Cold is stronger, that's an im...

Re: Episode #0223 (20 June 2010)
On King Cold, I believe the anime is the only thing that attempts to address his power in the series. I haven't seen the guidebook stuff you guys mentioned. I think the manga is vague. In the anime, Vegeta has a brief inner-monologue assessing the situation, as refers to Cold's ki as being larger th...

Re: Is Final-form Freeza is his original form?
Well, Xyex, you do bring up a different issue. While obviously transforming up, Coola does basically invent a form. This race has a transform-friendly physiology. They don't seem to power into a straining form, and then default down to a base when they relax. Any form, 1-4, seems to be acceptable as...

Re: Is Final-form Freeza is his original form?
Like I said, it depends on where you place the emphasis. One of the neat things about literary interpretation- at the end of the day, it is up to us to decide which fan theory we prefer. I highly doubt Toei put this much thought into it, but it may be worth mentioning that in the anime Freeza and hi...

Re: Is Final-form Freeza is his original form?
While I do agree, it does seem to depend on emphasis. Freeza was correcting Vegeta's statement on reasons. So if we add the two we can come away with "There are some beings who change their shape as the need arises...Because I become so powerful that I can`t keep myself under control." If ...

Re: Which type of fusion can increase power more?
I apologize if I miss the point. Everyone's various personal fake-math equations are jumbling in my head (not that I have anything against them). But one thing I've always thought, based on Goten and Trunks needing to transform before fusing at first, is that transformation modifiers may also stack....
