Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
No, it just doesn't matter if it's connected or not. Obviously, it starts out connected, but if the connection to the beam was cut it wouldn't matter. That would stop him putting more power into the beam, not stop him controlling it. This is consistent with the original material. Maybe I'm overreac...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
The remote control Kamehameha doesn't require him to be connected to the beam physically, only to have the aura around his hands. Are you sure? Because here: https://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/image.php?comic=page&num=1688&lg=en&ext=png&pw=d2742ff0e63ffe0f07afb7c9160a2335 Looks like he's still c...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Yeah, I don't care if Moro is deep. He's about as simple as most other DB villains. He could have been given depth and it would have been better, but that goes for characters like Frieza, and Zamasu too. The former is a guy who is part of a mafia esque crime empire and wants to conquer and trade pla...

I gotta say that the art has been fantastic these last few pages, even by the normal standard.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I think the difference is that if they are using super-speed, you would feel their energy move locations continuously along with their body, whereas with teleportation there's a tiny split second where their energy appears in the new location before their body does, so if you can lock on quick enoug...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
One thing that's different from canon is that in canon Gohan told Goku never to look at the full moon, so he must have survived at least one Oozaru attack, only to be killed in a later one.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
It's also padding rather than an actual story if Kold dies here, because they could have as easily had him die in his first form like canon and it would make no difference to the outcome.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
The issue fanfics set in this period have to solve is that Vegeta is caught between his Frieza saga characterization as a sneaky cheat who high tails it at the first sign of trouble, and his Cell saga characterization as a pride monster who defines being a Saiyan as testing himself in a good even fi...

That's a legitimate possibility actually. Those upwards motion lines usually mean IT.Fionordequester wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 2:31 pmLook at the motion lines around Gohan (and Bra, to a lesser extent). Seems as though he's using Instant Transmission to get them both away, right?

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
You think Gohan's gonna get splattered, but that last panel would actually be a really good fake out for the next panel to be that Cell grabbed Bra's leg and stopped her.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
You know, I wouldn't have understood such a complex strategy as going after the objective while the only defender is distracted without the pannel. Given the typical state of comments on the Multiverse site, I'm tempted to believe if it didn't have that panel, there would in fact be a load of comme...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I think it says something when the sign of a bad Dragonball villain is when they act just like a Dragonball villain. It says that the series has been around for such a long time that the older fans want it to reinvent itself to be fresh, rather than just safely play out the same script for a whole n...

He modify his "argumentation" over time. First, he says she is not strong enough. Then, he adds that well, no one can be that strong enough anyway. Someone needs to tell him that English simply doesn't work this way. Even if you wanted to "modify your argumentation" in a casual way, no fluent Engli...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
If someone made a ki ball and then lost consciousness/died, would that ki instantly disappate? Goku shot a ki attack up in Super to revive himself with the shock when it came back down. Imagine the same thing but with an aura reinforcing the entirety of the body.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Putting ki into your finger is hardly the same as putting ki into a particular cell in your brain. Based off what? Ki is a completely fictional substance. With fiction all that matters is the established rules. So where's the inconsistency here? It's not crazy for Cell to do a better version of som...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Something "out of character" isn't infinitely improbable, just merely unlikely, and if you have trillions beyond trillions of alternate universes with tiny adjustments of what can happen, you can always select that ridiculously improbable case. That's sort of the crutch for multiverse; nothing is ou...
