Re: Did Kid Buu kill Arale?
Wait. So there's a Dragonball Arale and a Dr Slump Arale? It seems like the databooks imply that if they say Dr Slump takes place in an alternate universe, but then the books also have Penguin Village on a DB world map.

Re: Gohan's ki contribution should be enough for Buu's death
Buu could be just that hard to destroy, since you have to erase his ki. Perhaps Gohan wouldn't have been able to beat Super Buu either even though he's stronger than him. Super Vegetto was the only one who demonstrated that he could annihilate a piece of Buu completely, and he's the strongest charac...

These are used outside "the South". They are even used in England, in the North East! Different intonation, of course.Sun-Wukong wrote:The Goku voice isn't terrible, but it sounds very awkward hearing him say "ain't" and "reckon" in what isn't really a southern accent.

Re: Can USSJ Future Trunks kill a tanking Perfect Cell?
A very powerful attack engulfing him from someone on the same level is enough to finish him, shown by Gohan being a little bit stronger and vaporizing him. Since suppressed Cell said that Trunks had far surpassed him at that time, then he should be able to destroy him if it's just a charged ki attac...

Re: Beerus claims that base Goku in BoG couldn't beat Freeza
Yeah, I mean why was the statement added? Characters can be wrong, but usually the author is trying to point something out that is true if they don't then show that the character is mistaken. That's pretty standard story telling. If Beerus was wrong, it would just be random.

He thought he was loads stronger as a cyborg and his new power would easily beat Goku.rereboy wrote: Freeza flat out refused to train when Goku told him to, and he refused again to train after being rebuilt, which got him killed.

Re: Beerus claims that base Goku in BoG couldn't beat Freeza
Hmm. You could be right. Kaioshin could just be that bad at sensing stuff. It makes him look really bad. Dabura could be rubbish too which is why he can't gauge the trios strength correctly. Maybe this also means that the whole scene where he leaves the three strongest alive is just Dabura guessing ...

Re: Freeza isn't the type to train?
I would have called practice training, so I think we are getting a bit semantic here. Most people think he didn't increase his battlepower by many many multiples, but I'm sure that he developed his techniques, and he may have increased his strength over time. I can imagine him taking practicing his ...

Re: Beerus claims that base Goku in BoG couldn't beat Freeza
I was thinking about the Yakon scene and and what it means for this topic. That's a big part that makes people think something changed even before the Toriyama comment. The Beerus comment is a little in conflict with that reading. How can base Goku be at 60 if he's able to contend with Yakon? There'...

Re: Could Tenshinhan's Tribeam or Dodon Ray be a planet bust
Otherwise, you're saying that the energy just disappears for no reason. Where did all the energy go when Chiaotzu detonated? A sphere the size of the moon was not created. Or Vegeta for that matter - the planet didn't blow up. It's hard to believe that someone is suppressing energy that is vaporizi...

Re: Freeza isn't the type to train?
Given that he is one of the most skilled fighters in the series, it goes without question that he did train in the past, but he also definitely had an abnormal power from the start. Sure. He is a "mutant". The Saiyans always had the potential for even greater power than humans or even Freeza's clan...

Re: Freeza isn't the type to train?
What makes you think he had to train to get these attacks? Even a (relative) weakling like Tenshinhan can learn attacks from just watching them once. Tenshinhan is supposed to be at least a talented martial artist who has trained enough to have understanding of ki attacks. The first couple of times...

And learning all his different attacks, and learning how to suppress and increase his ki within a form, and learning how to buff up to increase his power in his final form. His discs are pretty impressive and better than Krillin's. He might not train like the Saiyans do, but I'm sure he trained a lo...

Freeza isn't the type to train?
This seems to be a fairly common fan belief, and it was used in Dragonball Multiverse as well. Does it appear anywhere in the manga or anime, or is it just a wholesale fan invention? Did people assume he isn't the type to train even though he has all these incredible varied attacks and seems obsesse...

It's still possible Toriyama came up with it. Maybe there's a note from Toriyama to the anime staff that we'll never see.

Re: What does the Z sword weigh?
This was the same sword that Kibito couldn't even budge with two arms which would mean he wouldn't even be close to being 10x as strong as Goku was at the very start of the series even though he could supposedly give Gohan a difficult fight. As numerically established, Goku at the start of the seri...
