Re: Chi Chi and Goku should have gotten a divorce a long time ago

As the dynamic of relationship changes ,aka becoming husband/wife and parents, many women expect the man to change, become more responsible and put the needs of their family first. However, Goku did not change and remain the same, carefree guy that Chichi first met in Dragon Ball. Haha, most women ...

Would Goku had the same reaction (SS transformation) if Gohan was killed instead of Kuririn?

Or he would transform into an even more powerful SS form since (I think) he would be more angry about his sons death?

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)

Sigh.. looks like TOEI truly don't care if the original Japanese voice cast dies before we ever see the DBS main series continuation.. as if they rather do ANYTHING than hurrying to make as many episodes as possible before the inevitable death of the cast.

Was Freeza made to be THAT strong in early DBZ to give the Super Saiyan legend a real meaning?

Was Freeza made to be THAT strong in early DBZ to give the Super Saiyan legend a real meaning, to showcase how powerful is that comparing everything else before it or it's just a coincidence? Like make Freeza a very VERY fearful opponent? Could he have been weaker like around 300-400.000 power level...

Re: Will Cell always and forever be better than Freeza?

Thanks for the replies, interesting! I tought if you mix the "magical" capabilites of Freeza DNA and the Saiyans "explosive growth" DNA, this would be and extremely effective combo to get stronger if you train properly. Not Freeza, not even the Saiyans could outperform you anymor...

Will Cell always and forever be better than Freeza in terms of growth potential?

Could it be true whatever training Freeza does, be it regular training, or in Time Chamber, Cell will always be stronger if he would be alive and does the exact same for the exact same time period? Like "Black Cell" would be dozens more stronger than Black Freeza due to not only Freeza's g...

Re: Why did Freeza take himself so seriously as an "emperor"?

Thank you everyone for the answers! :) Just tought in Freeza's case there was his family too, especially his faters ambition to rule.. Is it in Freeza's race genes to be this evil a*hole or it's just his upbringing? Would he have been different with "good" parents? Being evil is a choice,...

Re: Why did Freeza take himself so seriously as an "emperor"?

Freeza is a sadist who wants to be at the top of everyone and the whole universe and ideally make them suffer as much as possible. He is entirely, sickeningly twisted and wants everything under his boot and exactly the way he wants it. Being an emperor naturally let's him to fulfill these roles. Wh...

Why did Freeza take himself so seriously as an "emperor"?

With that much power compared to everyone else at that time, this just doesn't make sense why having a trouble to run a huge Empire and tedious day-to-day tasks with it? He could just chill somewhere in the galaxy maybe conquer the "best and greatest planet" for home and have zero problems...

Maybe an explanation for Beerus seemingly being "stronger" by each new arc?

We all used to see each arc Beerus always seems unreachable no matter how strong the Z warriors get.. I've an explanation for this: So when he JUST woke up at the beginning of Super he really was using 70% at the time.. but all of you if you look at yourself when you wake up at the morning there nee...

Re: Concurrent Manga and Target Audiences - Older Fans left out?

Criticizing art that is poorly made makes art better and including uncriticized body-shaming and uncriticized misogyny in your art makes that art bad. Woke people aren't out to do anything but stop the spread of harmful ideas and educate people on how they harm marginalized people. Criticizing ok, ...

Re: Concurrent Manga and Target Audiences - Older Fans left out?

Why is it brave to include offensive jokes that shame a woman's body or treat her as if she has no agency in the objectification of her body outside of an erotic context, especially in comics and cartoons created at and marketed towards children? Why should a creator's intent to aim offensive depic...

Re: Concurrent Manga and Target Audiences - Older Fans left out?

(Thats why wokeism is bad.) Wokeism is bad because they no longer include sex jokes or attempt to avoid being offensive towards women in their comics aimed at children? I don't understand what you mean. I was just reading world-famous children's comic Boku no Hero Academia the other week and one of...

Re: Concurrent Manga and Target Audiences - Older Fans left out?

Not that they should.. but if Toriyama wants to put in sex jokes then let him do it, I think he was much more brave in the "good old times", maybe he would put them again in DBS too but too afraid to do it now. Super had at least two jokes about Bulma's saggy tiddies, and a gag of Roshi n...

Re: Concurrent Manga and Target Audiences - Older Fans left out?

What exactly about sex jokes do you think adults should be putting in their media for children? I'm not sure I really follow your thought-process here. Not that they should.. but if Toriyama wants to put in sex jokes then let him do it, I think he was much more brave in the "good old times&quo...

Re: Concurrent Manga and Target Audiences - Older Fans left out?

I think kids can handle way more than you give them credit for. Maybe they can, but the problem is that the decision makers at the management or even Toriyama/Toyotaro himself is too afraid of a western media backlash showing anything "out of mainstream". They all became cowards with DB. ...

Re: Concurrent Manga and Target Audiences - Older Fans left out?

Sadly, Dragon Ball was only mature until it was a Japan-only thing.. . It ran on poop jokes and had a cutesy song from Masako Nozawa in character as Son Goku singing about how much he loves his Kinto Un and how cool the KameHameHa is as part of its official soundtrack What are you talking about mat...

Re: Concurrent Manga and Target Audiences - Older Fans left out?

Sadly, Dragon Ball was only mature until it was a Japan-only thing.. when it gained international fame they toned down everything because most society in the world (and their regulators) wrongly sees anime as a children only thing on the same level as western cartoon.. in some ways Japan is a more m...
