Re: Colours
Then why would have they coloured Vegeta that way then? Good question. Vegeta hadn't appeared in color in the manga yet, so it could be that they just guessed and got it wrong. But...you'd think they'd ask, Toriyama rather than just taking a wild jab at it, wouldn't you? That said, Karin was suppos...

Re: Brian Drummond WIN
I love the insanity he portrays. Drummond can make him sound smart, devious, evil, insane and even toughSonGokuGT wrote:I love Drummond's Vegeta. I agree that smug is a good description of the way he played him. Not only smug, but with just the right tinge of insanity subtly mixed in as well.

Hell yeah. He will always be the better of the two English Vegeta's. I miss him in DBZ, imagine him in the games!penguintruth wrote:Brian Drummond is still my favorite English Vegeta, because he makes him sound super smug.

Re: Red Ribbon Army in the Anime
I've actually seen very little of the original Dragonball Anime - the early stuff, dub-only, on Toonami, and the Piccolo Daimaoh arc in Japanese. Almost all of my exposure to the original DB series is via the Manga, and I think the RRA arc is fantastic. I'd no idea that the Anime varied so much; wh...

Re: Brian Drummond WIN
How is that a "win"? He just screamed really loudly in a raspy voice. It doesn't take a whole lot of acting skill to do that. I think it sounds awesome how he says the stuff at the beginning with the red eyes. If you don't think it's good voice acting then why don't you try to sound pisse...

Re: Colours
Well, there's color chapters and illustrations in the manga first of all. Usually though, Toriyama would have to send the anime staff colored pictures of the characters if they didn't get to appear in a color manga chapter before their anime debut. The title page for chapter 361 (which shows Cell i...

Re: Colours
They're given a general idea . Vegeta was coloured green because , in a sheet with power level g ui des , Toriyama gave the characters random colours , and Vegeta happened to have b rown hair, and green and orange armour. Later Toriyama changed the colours again and so did the animators.

Re: Dragonball Kai Dub
From what I've heard a lot of the dub fans were pretty mad at the cast changes and new script. A thousand angry dub nerds raging at the internet about how dub Kai isn't an exact copy of whatever particular dub of Z they grew up on doesn't change the fact that there's hundreds of thousands of people...

Re: Brian Drummond WIN
Those glowing red eyes! They're up there with that "his eyes are burns" screenshot. Drummond's "wrath" scene is still my favorite, though this was good too. :3 This one isn't remembered as well and that's a shame. It is quite awesome. Drummond really shines in this saga be...

Re: Red Ribbon Army in the Anime
Just finished watching the arc with my girlfriend (she's a first-time viewer), so I guess I'll comment. The post-Pilaf material with Colonel Silver dragged, but what're ya gonna do? It was only about two episodes, so that's tolerable. The Muscle Tower arc, while long, was consistently hilarious eno...

It depends for me, but in the manga I laughed my ass off a couple of times during those moments in the tower.BluezaBladeNZ wrote:I didn't really mind the pacing, but I have to say, the Muscle Tower arc is one of my favourite arcs in the series.

Re: What is the worst ever thing that happened to Dragonball?
It seems this thread has gone onto "What I hate most about Dragon Ball", which is ironic being that this is a Dragon Ball forum. H mm, I guess you ' r e right. But the thing that is to be remembered is that we all love it for the flaws it has. What I mostly said is what I think at times b...

Re: What is the worst ever thing that happened to Dragonball?
While I liked reading the who Buu saga...I found watching it a whole different story. Also the style and designs on the characters towards the end always pissed me off....everyone got, like...ugly as fuck. I mean I know they aged, but stillll. Oh and too many "this character gets married, fuck...

Re: New Animation?
You may have already answered your own question... For the record, though, I think this neo-art looks awful . The animation that goes hand-in-hand with it is delightful, but I can't understand why everyone is made of plastic. While doused in oil. While in front of a spotlight. Yeah I probably did, ...

New Animation?
When watching the not-so-new OVA, and DBkai opening I have one really big question that may never be answered. Why does all the new DB animation look completely different to the style of the manga? I know it's different artists (duh) but the older drawings resembled Toriyama's style well, certainly ...

Red Ribbon Army in the Anime
I really thought this saga was, in the anime, stretched out to sometimes being a little boring. It wasn't the pace of the episodes back to back, but I thought certain moments were dragged out far to long to become a little irritating. The fight with Murasaki lasted one to many episodes; the muscle t...

Tien became just as strong as Goku due to his strict training. Then Tien killed Vegeta; later challenging Goku to a 3rd rematch! Yeah.... only in dreams I guess.

I love Budokai 1 soundtrack, especially "Goku's Gift" song.
I also really enjoy Dead Zone's original soundtrack. The whole movie's ost's were awesome!
Bruce Faulconer's Dead Zone song is pretty amazing, the guitar is pretty epic in that song.
