Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 93
Also, I'm not sure why everyone was shocked to see Shida drawing cuts for yesterday's episode. If Shida was assigned to storyboard an episode, he will almost certainly key animate, if his time permits. His position as a top-tier key animator with a seniority status allows him to do whatever he want...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 93
This is what a great production would have been. For just an episode, Nagamine and Shida nailed it. Nagamine especially has been pushing the animation department to an even greater height. Shida has shown just how important his talent is to Dragon Ball. His great storyboarding skill was the real hig...

Re: State of the Kanzenshuu: Wiki Status Update
Not yet. We were supposed to be working on it a while ago, but we have been pretty busy with out personal lives. Adding new contents of the weekly series of Dragon Ball Super to our load made things quite a bit difficult. But, hopefully we can get back to it pretty soon. We have had a few new editor...

People shouldn't jump to conclusions. Stranger things have happened in Super, after all.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 90
Something made me wonder if the image from Goku flying ahead of Cabba in the World of Void from back then was valid. JulieYBM's post makes me wonder of Nagamine actually got skilled animators working ahead of schedule while the regulars handle the regular loads.

Looking for a Person Who Fluents in Japanese
Hello, y'all. I'm going to get straight to the point. I have a potentially huge project coming up that involves interviewing a long time DB animator, Masaki Sato. To my surprise, he accepted my request to interview him. You may remember him as the chief assistant supervisor that worked under Minoru ...

Re: The role of a writer
He's talking specifically about Dragon Ball Super , not video games. The writers for the series do not have any authority over the creative process. The series director (Nagamine in this case) does. What happens in the current arc comes from him as well as Toriyama's outline. The director expands th...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 90
I asked Tu about the overall state of Super's production, but predictably, he wasn't able to say much due to his obligation keep certain aspects confidential. He did, however, say that we should really raise our expectations for when the tournament begins. He's gotten really good vibes from Nagamin...

Re: Who was responsible for those fake leaks?
Does it really matter who made the fake leaks? You fell for it really hard. That's on you. You should know better than not to trust anything until a real physical evidence is presented (i.e. magazine). I didn't trust it, neither should you. I don't think this thread serves any purpose, other than ta...

Re: An aspect of Vegeta's character that is somewhat missing in Dragon Ball Super
You said it yourself, he's more mature and he avoids all that crap that honestly only made him sound stupid. He's way better now. The part where he trashes Black was perfect: no arrogance, just him humiliating Black and taking revenge. But what I'm referring to is when he had the upper hand and was...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 90
There's always a chance that there will be fighting scenes similar to the Ultimate Blast opening. The current series director Nagamine was the director of that opening.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 90
By the way, Toshio had commented that the tournament will consists of 1 vs 1 battles. That's to be expected; the animators cannot do multiple battles all at once. It's too much, even for the best schedule available.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 90
In order to avoid turning this thread into rage and bitter drunkard, let's try not to get your hope up, even if it looks like it's Karasawa's character model. Until it's concretely confirmed by a Newtype magazine or someone trustworthy, the animation supervisor for Episode #94 remains unknown.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 90
If he's annoyed by it, he wouldn't post any more Dragon Ball stuff on Twitter. He's just as much a fan of it as we are. Keep in mind that he has fans behind him. He kept posting drawn Dragon Ball characters. If they like his work, then a positive motivation to have him be an animation supervisor for...

Doesn't mean he won't work. Only one time guest should be sufficient. If enough fans encourage him, he will at least think about it.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 90
He's a star freelancer web animator. Former series director Chioaka recruiting him would probably be the best guess as the reason why he appeared for the first time in the series. He's never worked on a Dragon Ball project before that, as far as I know.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 90
Masaki Sato's constant tweets with the DB character drawings included makes me wish he had accepted the role as an animation supervisor for Dragon Ball Super . He'd make for a great director than Kitano with his artistic abilities. But with Yamamuro at the helm Sato wouldn't want to work on the seri...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 90
Hopefully by the start of the tournament, Toei unhooks Manabe's leash and lets him go all out. It would be for a pure fun entertainment. Yoshitaka says that the tournament is something we should all be looking forward to, because it's going to be crazy. I'm all for Tate, Manabe, Higashide, Tu, and e...

It's pure Manabe. Everything you saw in the end is all by Manabe.
