Re: Why You Didn't Get the Singles When Available?

I think I owned maybe 5-6 or so of the original bilingual singles back when they were being released... A few of them I picked up at a used DVD store or something and ~3 others I purchased new as one of those cheap-o saga boxsets that Funi released. Pretty sure I also have one or two of the Ultimate...

Re: So Apparently the Local Video Store I Go To

It makes no sense to slap Big Green dub audio onto season set video (oops, double feature) and then sell it on DVD - it would be much easier and more profitable to just make straight-up copies of the season sets and sell those. Also, the only people who would even know what "Big Green dub"...

Re: Toonami

Hehe, I remember when those GT DVDs first came out. It was so irritating that they cut out those episodes... I guess they just didn't fit with the whole hardcore "Step into the Grand Tour" thing they were going for.

-I thought that the DBZ movies (although I think I only saw 2 and 3 during my DB-ignorant years) took place during the main storyline and were in fact critical to the overall plot. -That Dragon Ball was incredibly long. Yes, it is a long series, but for some reason I thought it was up in the 1000+ e...

Question about the Dragonball Dragonbox

I know that the set comes with a diorama, but I have also seen some boxes for sale with a red bag that has "Dragonbox" printed on it, as well as a small sign-thing made from cardboard (I don't know what it is called, but it seems to say campaign on it). Did these come with the Dragonbox? T...

They could almost reach 100 unique (not including transformations) characters by adding more movie villains (heck, adding villains from the first, third, and fifth movies alone would increase the character count by about 12) and Dragonball villains.

Exceeded. Back when the other sets were released, I wasn't about to spend several hundred dollars a piece on them. Now I wish I had.

Oh, right on man. Thanks for the heads up. :) Lastly, I'd just like to say that Iam now happy that I bought this DVD set. I'm sure everyone knows by now how superior in quality these Dragon Boxes are to the FUNimation releases. If this turns out to be what I'm hoping for, then I will for sure get v...

Yes, they are out of production. They aren't too hard to find on Japanese auction sites (like Yahoo Japan Auctions), though.

About the picture quality compared to Funimation's releases... Is it about the same overall quality difference between the other Dragonboxes and their respective Funi releases, or is there less/more of a difference? I realize that this will probably be on the feature, but if someone can give a brief...

Maybe release a collection (or a few collections) for the PS2 with the Famicom, Super Famicom, PCE, Megadrive, Gameboy, and arcade games.

Although it is unlikely, reproductions of the movie posters would have been neat.
