Re: Why does Gohan's power keep depleting?

Guess he was just went insane when he wanted to go to namek, train for the Cyborgs, train in the rosat, and train for the 25th Tourney, and wanting to fight Dabura all by himself when he could have let Goku or Vegeta do it. Oh come on now, did you even watch this series or read the manga? In all of...

Re: Why does Gohan's power keep depleting?

They're also different people, but more importantly the amount of power Gohan is losing is what make it an issue. He went from over SSJ3 tier, down to simple SSJ tier in like a year or two. That's not simple slack off losing power, that's like being drained of it. That's getting over 8x weaker in a...

Re: Why does Gohan's power keep depleting?

Krillin is hardly noticed at all, and he even fought. Though I guess we can take that him training with 18 whipped him back into shape better than Gohan training with Goten. Though the Daizenshuu specifies it's only that Gohan isn't tapping into his rage power, and that he never lost his standalone...

Re: Anyone else not give a shit about the canon?

I like canon conversations, I do personally have my own idea of what "counts" but I don't get the idea of attacking or shaming someone for disagreeing. I also don't understand and greatly disagree with the idea that Canon dictates quality. I hate DBGT, but not because it's Non-canon, it's ...

Re: Why does Gohan's power keep depleting?

There's no reason he should drastically weaken much more than Krillin, who has no noticeable difference even though he did the same thing as Gohan did. I don't think there's a weaken multiplier or percentage. My theory is that it's because Krillin has spent more time training overall than Gohan, bu...

Re: Why does Gohan's power keep depleting?

Yamcha was said to be retired. Krillin was far removed from battle during the 7 year gap too with parenting and family stuff, and nothing was said about him. Piccolo is the only one who's said to train but absolutely nothing is said about his progress no more. Since Piccolo is no longer an importan...

Re: Dragon Ball Fukkatsu no F - Super Edition

I actually really liked the movie and don't want much "Changed" honestly. What I'd like tho are expansions. They have more time, so give us more info and screen time for stuff. 1: Expand and show us all the important things that happened off screen. Like Goku and Vegeta training. Vegeta ge...

I get the impression Piccolo, Krilli,n and Tenshinhan at least keep up some level of training.

Re: Does Yamcha have any connection to the main cast anymore

Yamcha is like that one childhood friend you really liked but then you meet him 15 years later and ask yourself why you were friends with him in the first place. Hahahahahahahaha..... Seriously tho, He's stopped being important to the story a long time ago, but he's often there in big crowd moments...

Re: Why does Gohan's power keep depleting?

It's stated in the early Boo arc, as in, while they're on Babidi's ship that Gohan slacked and lost some of his power during the timeskip. That was very clearly done to juxtapose his return to form at the end of the arc. A hero being incomplete at the beginning of a story (in this case the start of...

Re: Was Freeza brought in too early?

Well Freeza WAS intended to be the final villain and ultimate evil of the show Uh... no he wasn't...... In reality, and I think this also answers the main question above: Toriyama was always kindof a slapdash writer. He rarely planned things out, and mostly wrote stuff by the seat of his pants. Thi...

Re: Worst Moment/ Part of the Series for You

According to Kanzenshuu's episode guide the Red Ribbon arc consists of 25% filler and it shows. It's a real slog to get through. 29-33 is such a painful way to start off the Red Ribbon saga and it truly sets the precedent. Then again, even in the manga I find the Red Ribbon arc to be tiresome. Of c...

Re: Why does Gohan's power keep depleting?

I'd agree with fadeddreams5 for the most part, but I don't think that's QUITE right. It's stated in the early Boo arc, as in, while they're on Babidi's ship that Gohan slacked and lost some of his power during the timeskip. The reason they're depowering him more and more lately may come from Toriyam...

Re: So about C.Sabat's "new" voice...

I also wonder if the real-life factor of us knowing, for a fact, that it's the same guy, is affecting our judgement. Because now that I've known for several years, after watching the credits, that Chris Sabat plays multiple characters, I can tell now. But back when I was a kid? I definitely think t...

Re: What are some of the old voices that you miss?

For the Dub, I'd go so far as to say it's the opposite. I don't think they changed ENOUGH. I love who they DID recast, but a few who kept their voices needed a serious recast (Kaio INSTANTLY comes to mind as one of them) As for the Japanese version, I must parrot everyone here who misses Daisuke Gou...

Re: So about C.Sabat's "new" voice...

While Sabat DOES have a distinctive voice and it's often easy to tell it's him if you're paying attention (DJ Sexcidillionaire anyone?) He does make most of his voices distinct enough that a casual watch through they sound different. I buy that Vegeta, Piccolo, and Yamucha are different people for e...

Re: Was Goku the first of his kind?

He's honestly the first I can think of. In trying to think of the Shonen heroes that came before like Jonathan Joestar or Kenshiro, I can't think of anyone that fits Goku's Archetype before Goku himself. He may indeed have been the originator. That's why we now have Pirate Goku, and Ninja Goku... Th...

Dragonball Z is much faster than Super has been and will continue to be. I sure as hell hope you ain't talking about the original Z. Yup. Here's the problem. You keep stating this as if it's a fact without giving any information or data to back up WHY you think this... I understand this may be your...
