Well... I think the best way for GT Goku was to have separate transformations, like Gohan. Meaning: start of as normal, go to Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 3 (because GT forgot that Super Saiyan 2 existed :D) or start of as normal, go to Gold Ozaru and Super Saiyan 4.
