Re: Interesting or funny pictures thread
Not sure who the artist is named, but I found this on Facebook and thought it was cool. Gohan's travelled a long way. https://scontent.fhre1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/323997076_1565686073904268_8185136954306742828_n.jpg?_nc_cat=103&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=2c4854&_nc_eui2=AeFbGtEFUHf4FNhscvMR...

Ten years. Man, how time flies.
BoG was great fun, and a great way to revitalize the DB saga with a new antagonist and the promise of a new world to explore.

Re: Do you think the anime should adopt 3D animation?
David Production and ufoTable do good enough 3D Animation, but they use a higher budget for their work and it's only for a few sequences.
And higher animation doesn't guarantee a fun story.

Re: Why Do People Think Goku Wins All the Time?
Well, that's what DB is now seen as: a meme-spewing power fantasy about super-strong warriors who can break ceilings of power to defeat powerful enemies. Few people look closer and see the losses suffered in the story, which are severe and not always reparable (contrary to the point of the Dragon Ba...

Re: Should Goku continue to be the main character or someone else becomes the main character
It depends on how much mileage you think can get out of Goku as a main character. Can the world's most powerful being face constant challenges to his strength, and still keep being funny and endearing? I think Goku can manage that with some well-written enough arcs that are badass and funny (though ...

I prefer Saiyans to be redeemable.
I don't think calling a whole race evil works out very well. Toriyama may have recognized this?

Re: What chance would Dragon Ball 86 have it was remade today?
Thank you all for your comments. I had forgotten there was Kai, and Sailor Moon's 90s anime was remade as Crystal. Attitudes towards sex jokes, and animation techniques, have evolved since the 1980s. That's an obvious fact. And despite Toei's hold on the franchise, Toriyama's distinct artwork and hu...

Why would Buu do that for Yamcha? They barely know each other.

What chance would Dragon Ball 86 have it was remade today?
The 80s comedy Urusei Yatsura got a reboot that premiered this October. While it's just started, it's reportedly the same source material adapted, just with more advanced visuals. https://cdni.fancaps.net/file/fancaps-animeimages/5524637.jpg https://cdni.fancaps.net/file/fancaps-animeimages/22331103...

Don't look at tropes too much, they'll spoil storytelling for you.

Re: If Goku & Vegeta Could Fuse Indefinitely...
Well, Goku and Vegeta have very different mindsets that they would need their own training methods IMO, which would benefit each of them better than if they trained in fused mode.
But this would probably depend on the plot and what the writers say.

Because Disney can, and because an attempt may silence the debate (for some time at least).

Maybe in the form of a straight man calling out all the stupidity and insanity happening around him, but nothing like a serious moment because that may spoil the momentum IMO.

Does Lunch live like MCU Moon Knight?
She probably lives a similar enough life to Moon Knight: each persona switches and doesn't remember too much (despite there being some degree of communication) and she either has to figure out what she did to who, or she just goes with the flow, which is probably her general attitude and solution to...

Almost every DB film would be proof of that at this point.
But I don't have a problem if it's done well.

Re: Beerus and Whis are the worst characters in the history of Dragon Ball
We've seen worse gods in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, thanks to Thor 4. (I hope that's not a spoiler) A lazy god who does little sounds like Toriyama's humor. He did a manga called Toppio the Angel, about a lazy angel who doesn't like being disturbed or handling responsibility. But that said, gods...
