Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
So... This chapter went down as I hoped and predicted... MUI Goku annihilated Full Power Moro with zero difficulty, and I think that's as should have been expected. Personally, I thought Omen should have been more than a match for less than full power Moro quite a few chapters ago, but that's gone w...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
If Goku goes MUI, then he must defeat Moro, no problems, no assistance needed, no hang ups, full stop. What should happen and what will happen are 2 very different things. The above is what should happen. Goku goes MUI, Moro is killed then and there. What will happen more than likely is that Goku w...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
So I guess now we wait to see if Goku does go MUI or doesn't by the end of the chapter. I honestly do like these beginning pages. This is good storytelling, good pacing, good characterization. I'm a fan, Toyo, you've won me over again, but I need to see you nail the PLOTTING. What the actual hell is...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
At this point, I think the most surprising ending would be the logical UI beating Moro for good. As much as I'd like to see it end with MUI, I think we'll get at least 1 or even 2 more fake outs before its really over. I think MUI will run out just as he's about to land the finishing blow. This wil...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I mean, I'm generally a Toyo fan, and I've liked a lot of the things he's done with the manga, but this arc in particular... it showed so much promise, but it's just become a shitshow. I fully expect Goku to achieve completed UI due to overcoming his initial emotional shock of Merus being erased. An...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
My only concern with the ending to this arc is that the only thing that's remained consistent throughout has been Toyo's propensity to surprise us. Oh, Goku's training with an Angel to perfect Ultra Instinct. LOL, he failed his training and is fucking up using Omen, Moro is just stronger than Omen, ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Vegeta can no longer beat Goku now that he has attained Completed Ultra Instinct at will. lol ok we really, really don't need to keep beating the dead horse about Vegeta beating Goku. Who even cares about that anymore? But there is literally zero evidence Goku has attained at-will, completed UI. We...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I honestly can't believe we're still spending pages arguing about how Goku couldn't have cared about Merus and his reaction is over the top and how the allusion to his Super Saiyan transformation and how equating Goku's relationship to Merus with Goku's relationship to Krillin is insulting and belit...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I too would be completely fine with a skip to EoZ. Goku can use MUI at will, Vegeta doesn't have to try and struggle for relevance, and they can go in interesting new directions with the story.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Goku won't be able to maintain MUI forever after this arc, nor will he be able to unleash it at will. However, he might at least retain the knowledge of how he can trigger the state - overcome a moment of extreme emotion --> activate Mastered Ultra Instinct. Of course, it's Goku, so the thought migh...

Re: Should the next arc focus on old characters/z fighters or new characters?
I wish they would continue the throughline started in the Buu saga, and picked up again for the Tournament of Power: Make Gohan leader of "The Z Fighters," with Piccolo as his advisor/personal trainer/right hand. Goku and Vegeta go off into the multiverse and have wild space adventures wit...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I'm not saying Vegeta will never be relevant again. I'm saying, if Goku pulls silver-haired UI, then Vegeta's Spirit Fission power is a moot point for this particular showdown. It's just not going to be necessary. What I could see happening, and would honestly just be kind of equally annoying in a d...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
And yes I think a joint effort would ultimately be more satisfying then just UI even if that means UI can’t beat Moro on it own. As I said previously both Vegeta and Goku have been fighting and failing to beat Moro continuously. So from a story perspective having them both beat Moro works better to...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Look, I like Vegeta as much as the next guy, and I was thoroughly insulted by the way Toyo pulled a bullshit bait and switch on the audience with how he built Vegeta's training up for months like it was going to mean something only for him to use it and then Moro just get even stronger than ever bef...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
It would've been an even bigger disappointment if he just showed up, used one technique he learned largely offscreen and Moro lost. Disappointing? Perhaps. Anticlimactic? Certainly. But it would've been over. Vegeta would've used his new technique to weaken Moro until he was capable of finishing hi...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Toyo spent months on Vegeta's training only to have the application of his new technique result in Moro just becoming stronger than ever and one-shotting Vegeta in less than a single issue. He's accomplished less than nothing. If he then, later, gets up, and somehow he can now use his new technique ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Moro stored his former power in 7-3 [The one that beat UI omen Goku]. On top of that, he took 7-3's battle power, which naturally would make his ki higher than what it was against UI Omen Goku. Vegeta wasn't able to even contend with the former Moro, it's no surprise that a stronger Moro would tuck...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
But seriously, no one else thinks it's the height of stupidity for Moro to even get a power boost like this from 7-3? I'm the only one that has a problem with him becoming so much stronger just from eating an android that's maybe ssj3 tier? He claims to have reclaimed the height of his power, that ...
