Re: Beam struggles ~ Bad game design?

I always thought beam struggles killed the pace of a fight, and I think that's why Dimps removed them from Infinite World. It might be true to the show, but dropping what you were doing to wiggle some sticks for several minutes just isn't fun.

Re: Is the yearly game release permamently moved to January

Namco Bandai probably realized their low effort DBZ games can't compete with the kind of AAA budget titles that come out around the Christmas season. January is pretty dead so people are a lot more likely to spend their gaming dollars on DBZ then.

Goku gets so strong that even his facial muscles get buff and some of them droop over his eyebrows.

Re: Question about "hardcore" anime fans opinion on DBZ dub

I think you can definitely make the argument that being a fan of the dub is a different thing than being a fan of the original Japanese version, but labeling one as the "true" fan is stupid. If you ask me only people who like the manga are "true" fans, and all you anime watchers ...

Re: Dragon Ball Z "Season One" Coming To Blu-Ray (Updated 09

poor baby Seems to me that the people who need strict "season" delineations that match their crappy American sitcoms and police procedurals are the childish ones. Especially when the delineations aren't even drawn right. Nobody "needs" anything, owning a season of a show is just...

Re: Dragon Ball Z "Season One" Coming To Blu-Ray (Updated 09

FUNimation was probably gonna release these Blu-rays in widescreen anyway, despite the "survey". I put survey in quotes because, well, I think maybe it wasn't really a survey. I think it was already decided that these were gonna be widescreen way before this survey came out. So why even p...

Re: What the best quality release with bruce faulconer music

I clicked on this thread knowing there would be at least five overreactions to an innocuous comment. There's nothing innocuous about making the same no-content post 4243 times. He adds literally nothing to the conversation. I think the dub is terrible and I'm still sick of him saying the same thing...

Re: What the best quality release with bruce faulconer music

Any release where you can't hear it is the best one. Fuck man how do you come up with this material?! You are too goddamn funny! Hey, remember that other post you made that other time in that other topic, where you implied something in the dub was shit? I forget which topic it was in but it cracked...

Re: Budokai 3 vs. Infinite World

infinite world didn't have a fatigue meter? It does have a fatigue meter. Whoops, my bad. I could have sworn it didn't, and looked up a YouTube video really quick to check and didn't see one. They must have redesigned it, but they got rid of your character becoming tired when hyper mode ended which...

Re: Budokai 3 vs. Infinite World

Everything Infinite World changed they did to streamline the gameplay and keep a fast pace throughout the match. No more beam struggles that force you to stop fighting and wiggle them around for a bit, no more Dragon Rushes that take a goddamn hour to play out, no more fatigue meter that causes you ...

Re: DragonBall Z Abridged

Yeah, DBZ is pretty clearly for adults, not kids. Such richly developed characters as "guy who really likes to fight and eat" and "guy who really hates the guy who really likes to fight and eat because he's stronger than him" can't be appreciated by children, and I saw a guy blee...

Re: Dubs that are more inaccurate than the Funimation Dub

What was the dub where they added a bunch of fourth wall breaking jokes about the show? Stuff like "I'm so angry it caused my voice to change!" and "This guy doesn't know there are still like 70 episodes left!" That one seemed pretty inaccurate, but unlike the jokes FUNimation wr...

Does anybody know what the corresponding line is when you have the Japanese voices on? The menus are all voiced, and the Japanese VA says something when you highlight that option.

Re: Goku joins the "Smash Bros." roster?

I would hate it if Goku made it into Super Smash Bros. Sonic and Snake dilute the whole "Nintendo All-Stars" thing but at least they're video game characters. I really don't think Nintendo would let non-video game characters into Smash Bros, especially ones that would require them to go th...

Re: Bandai planning to "conquer the world"?

If it's DB Online then too bad most people can't play it since most people won't have a PC to run it. That's why most PC games sell less then console games because most casual people don't have a PC to play video games. My PC is from 2002 and it can hardly run TF2 on steam. You have a pretty astoun...

Re: Spike Chunsoft Confirmed to be Developing for PS4

With the impending release of Battle of Gods and promotional opportunities therein, I see the premise of Spike developing a new game to be really not that difficult to believe at all . Except for the part where these consoles will have no install-base, so they'd rather go for the previous generatio...
