Dr. Briefs' time travel chart from the DB/DBZ FAQ

Anything in here any more useful, such as dates, and stuff?

I always figured JKwok44 was "first gen"... technically, I guess he'd be something like 1.5 gen. The bottom of his site says that the page was created January 17, 1997 (a full year before me). Not quite sure when all the true first-gen sites started, but I'm fairly sure many were before th...

Actually, if you're going to give the timeline names, I'd prefer it if they had both a corresponding letter AND name. w0rd.

Totally confused.

Someone take everything that's been said so far and combine it into another giant post.

Timeline Discussion

Got an " Ask VegettoEX " this week asking to explain the various timelines in DBZ. Technically, we know of at least three... and a possible fourth. I did some Google searching to an old alt.fan.dragonball thread that I thought would be helpful... but it wasn't as much as I thought it would...

Correction... that wasn't Pioneer. It was FUNimation. They made those opening / ending animations long before they ever sub-contracted home distribution to Pioneer.

Is Nyoi-Bo ever seen, again, actually connecting Karin's Tower to Kami's Palace? I mean, by this point, they can all just fly up there... And yeah, Goku says something about being able to see it all in his dreams, even though he wasn't there to see it all... I guess he's just up to that point, menta...

Yeah; since it's not an actual video stream, I doubt I'd be able to rip it directly (unlike good ol' *.str and *.xa PS1 files!); I'll be capturing the audio through my video card (did the same thing with the Budokai 2 opening).

I'll get it at some point...

Hmm... I didn't read the part where he was doing the hospital stuff... I just focused on when they were all leaving the battlefield. I'm also going off the Viz translation (neither Julian nor myself has that on us, at the moment, in Japanese). I'll check that part in the Viz version when I get back,...

What's the "closing" to the first Budokai ? I mean, what do you do to "beat" the game? It's been a while since I played, but all the story mode stuff just revolves around single episodes 'n stuff... If someone wants to tell me where to do it / how to do it, I'd be glad to rip it.

In several instances before, Chi Chi is seen driving a car. Yes, but every time... isn't she with her father? I always assumed it was his car she was driving; she seems like the type that would push her own father out of the driver's seat ^^. I'm not sure where to add things like the eight Cell Jrs...

Filler Guide (General + Inconsistencies)

I've brought on board some good ol' alt.fan.dragonball friends to help out with the up-coming " Filler Guide " that's in the works! You probably all recognize Rachel Oliver (TripleRach) from the chat / forums, but there's also Clay Reynolds, who's probably going to do the majority of writi...

A progressive-able player will still play back interlaced footage as interlaced; you can't exactly inverse-telecine footage on the fly ^^;;. So if you were to get a super kick-ass TV with a super-kick ass DVD player, FUNimation's discs are still going to be at a low-bitrate and interlaced-only. The ...
