Buying/Selling Board
I've seen threads come and go in "General Discussion," so I'm assuming that's the right spot for this sort of thing for now, but has there ever been thought put into creating a "Buying/Selling" section of the forums? There are people here finding themselves with outdated DVDs now...

What in the good god-damn?
Late April? Really? For a release they already have all the material for?

Re: DBZ Movie Singles vs Steelbooks
Steelbooks are the better release, as far as I'm concerned. Funimation's remastering on the movies is much less intrusive than on the Z season sets, about in line with their work on the original Dragon Ball and GT . The colors are still more saturated than on the Dragon Box version, but this holds t...

Re: Dragonball Stuff You've Just Realized
Well, because upon watching the scene, I noticed that only six evil dragons were actually shown being created and scattered across the globe, with he himself flying off into the sky in the end. The other six were shown in their affiliated elements(Si Xing Long was shown diving into a volcano, San X...

Re: Has Anyone Visited the Kai Boards on Nicktoons?
And now this has turned into a kid-bashing Thread. Not really? I still think it's really great and fun that these kids are getting into the series, and it's even better to see how many of them are unaware of the entire plot, or only know little tidbits. That's great. It's just unfortunate that ther...

Re: Favourite/worst movie villain
I agree with you. But don't you think part of the reason is that because it's a movie, they don't have enough time to create an interesting villain with depth and personality? Because the main villains like Piccolo Daimao, Vegeta, Freeza may be more developed characters because they have more scree...

I just realized, going through my GT Complete Series set, that Kuririn's family is not still living with Kame-Sennin. This point escaped me for years.

Re: Favourite/worst movie villain
I just want to start off saying I agree with you, at least for the most part. I love the way Toriyama designs his villains and I do enjoy how the forms that typically look the least threatening are almost always the most dangerous...but wouldn't it be a bit boring if all of the characters from the ...

Other favorites are the episode after Boo's defeat where the Z-Senshi do random things for no reason (naked fusion :D ), Princess Snake, and that thing with Husky in the amusement park. I second all of these, especially the episode after Buu's defeat and Husky, because they're both really amusing. ...

Re: Cell's absorbing of humans...
Cell tells us is that he absorbs a human's life-force for nourishment--that is, he eats them to grow back to how he was before he came to the past. It's all because he reverted to an egg that he needs all this nourishment to build his strength back up. I guess he might have to eat now and then like...

Re: Holiday wish list! What did you ask for?
As far as things related to this board go, I got Dragon Ball Season Four, and GT The Complete Series.
On a related note, anyone interested in the King Piccolo two-disc sets, or GT box sets one and four? I have some collection-compressing to do.

Re: Absorbing Android 16, or GT Goku
#16 is entirely mechanical. He can't absorb him anymore than he could absorb a car or television. To that extent, he even tries to drain #16 with his tail during their fight, only to realize he can't.

I should point out that it's not exactly a "Goku gi." It looks like his, but it bares Piccolo's "Ma" kanji.

Re: Cell's absorbing of humans...
It seems pretty clear between his two battles with Piccolo that absorbing humans substantially raises his maximum power.
Hell, his entire plan after losing to Piccolo the first time is to absorb random humans until he's confident he can overpower both Piccolo and the Androids.

Re: Favourite/worst movie villain
You know what my problem with the movie villains are? Absolutely none of them get the Toriyama aesthetic right. There's one thing Toriyama never does, and that's use predictably evil looking villains. There are no burly muscle men. The movies, by contrast, are absolutely full of them. Garlic Jr. pla...

Re: 10th Anniversary Movie: Goku's Character Design
To be fair, Vegeta's pretty tan in GT as well, and to a lesser extent even in Z.
Anyway, I love the art direction in the 10th anniversary movie. That's kind of what my ideal remake of the series would look like.
