Re: What kind of actor could play Goku in an English dub?
And after watching this interview for Resurrection F of Sean Schemmel, I can't help but cringe: "I rarely let Masako affect my performance." "I didn't take one cue from Masako for Battle of Gods." "For what we do in Amercia, it's OUR show. We gotta make it our own." Th...

Re: Official "Show off your Dragonball Crap" Thread
http://i.imgur.com/dAP0rDB.jpg Went ham on Listia and at a local thrift shop known as Savers. Made out with 11 Funimation releases of their dub of Z, 2 Funimation releases of their dub of GT, 1 Pioneer release of the Ocean dub of Z and an Anime Labs fansub. Also found this little number at GameStop...

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Arrival "Action Version" VHS
Can anyone with the regular Arrival type confirm if it has the characters saying die or kill? Only in the episode 3 and 4 content. Everything is the censored version for the content using the first 2 episodes. Basically like what Tanooki Kuribo said: No difference at all. Unless you own the Rock th...

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Arrival "Action Version" VHS
So basically there's no difference between the releases of Arrival aside from box art?

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Arrival "Action Version" VHS
Tanooki Kuribo dug into this a while back and I believe he ultimately concluded that there was no difference between the two tapes at all. I find it hard to believe that FUNi would release a 5+ version and a 3+ version and they be the exact same thing, i'm not saying Tanooki Kuribo is lying (what p...

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Arrival "Action Version" VHS
So there is now slightly uncut tape? Both are the same? Ah, that's a shame. Can anyone with the regular Arrival tape confirm this?VegettoEX wrote:Tanooki Kuribo dug into this a while back and I believe he ultimately concluded that there was no difference between the two tapes at all.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Arrival "Action Version" VHS
That's the one. However, it was apparently pretty rare to the people on here not so long ago but as for now, it seems like it goes for 20 plus dollars on ebay which isn't rare but still pretty uncommon I guess. Considering that there's only 3 on ebay with only two having that price range. I think y...

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Arrival "Action Version" VHS
That's the version that I had growing up. It contained the first four episodes but they were cut together in a way that more closely resembled a movie. Unfortunately, I don't believe it was particularly rare. http://videoreview.ws/jcl/dragonball.z.arrival.vhs.s.a.JPG That's the one. However, it was...

It has them riding it on the spine. The cover is Goku doing a Kamehameha like the normal version but it has an all gold Shenron background.clutchins wrote:Is it the one with Goku and Gohan riding the Kinto-un?

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Arrival "Action Version" VHS
I assume that this version was released first and I'm pretty sure the other releases of the Ocean dub did not have clamshells.DB1984 wrote:Which version of this VHS tape came first?
And was it the only one with the ocean dub in clamshell?
I will try to post pictures of the tape tomorrow

Dragon Ball Z: Arrival "Action Version" VHS
So, over the weekend I went to a sort of Goodwill type store known as Savers and while looking at the VHS section, not only did I find two DBZ VHS' in nice quality, but I also found this gold clamshell VHS of the first volume of the Ocean dub that I've never seen before online or in person. Doing so...

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
(Apologies if this has already been asked, but I've been following the thread pretty close and didn't see anything more posted.) So was there ever any other images or info about the supposed Dragon Ball Super booth at Anime-Expo? All I've seen is that one image and it sure seems odd they would even...

Re: What's Going On With The Dream 9 Crossover, Exactly?
We'll probably get them dubbed whenever FUNimation gets to them in the One Piece dub considering that doing them before they get to the time skip wouldn't be right and that they're listed as One Piece episodes. Or it would just be wise to them.

To those who saw the dub premiere at AX, was Maximum The Hormone's F in the dub?

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
Just a little question for those who saw Battle of Gods theatrically last year. Were there any trailers before the movie? Or did it just go straight to the movie?
