Re: Vegeta new form?

So, Angels are experts with Ultra Instinct, which, I mean, at this point you'd think has to still be superior to whatever techniques Beerus is talking about, right? It's implied that Beerus is an expert in some other godly technique, but Beerus has never held a candle to Whis in a straight up fight...

Re: Vegeta new form?

It will likely result in a new form, I hope it doesn't, but regardless I'm intrigued by it. Toyo seems a bit more technical in his approach and explanations of new techniques and sources of power within the Dragon Ball mythos than Toriyama tended to be, so I think whatever additional godly technique...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Still very intrigued by Granolah and glad to see he's not Tsufurian. Not sure why everyone is screaming Baby, especially given that we know Granolah is not a Tuffle. That being said, if he's not a Tuffle, being so technologically inclined and having him be the survivor of a past Saiyan attac...

Re: Would you be interested in a Dragon Ball prequel series?

I think a Dragon Ball prequel could be interesting, but only if it focused on more than just King Vegeta, Bardock, and Frieza. Like you guys are saying, the hierarchy of the gods in the past and their rise and all those stories are way more rich and open to interpretation than the Saiyans' past. We ...

Re: Are we going to see a timeskip in Chapter 68???

If I remember correctly, the guidebooks state Marron was born in AGE 771, she's turning ten freaking years old but she still looks like a baby. And you're telling me that in mere three years she'll be about as tall as her mother? Where's the freaking logic!? Super isn't known for its logic. Look at...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Slightly less-cautiously optimistic now, guys, honestly, Granola seems cool AF. I'm still slightly disappointed in the
reveals, but if nothing else, Toyo is very good at starting up a storyline, this is looking good.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

So, we've seen quite literally half a dozen panels from the next arc so far, and we're already getting the expressions of disappointment and the group opining on " now, y'see, the real problem with Dragon Ball Super is... " Good grief. Bodes well for the future. "GUYS WHAT IF ...

Re: Are we going to see a timeskip in Chapter 68???

I doubt the time skip mostly because of the unresolved plot point of Whis and Beerus being called to meet with the Grand Priest. If there was a timeskip, that would never be resolved and if that's not resolved, good god that would be lazy. Or handwaved away as nothing, equally lazy. So I don't think...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

This guy cannot be the survivor of one of the erased universes, because the Erase technique that Zeno has ignores geographical location. If you are biologically from a certain universe, you can be anywhere you want, but you will still be erased. Literally everything is erased. There is a scene wher...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

So based on what little of the trailer we have to go on, here is my theory. Given Yunba’s mocking of Jaco for not checking if 7-3 was dead, there is something specifically about 7-3 that is important to this Granola story arc. I’ve theorized that 7-3 isn’t an android, but more so like a being like ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I strongly disliked almost everything about the Moro arc that happened post-Namek, and that included 7-3 existing at all, but also 7-3 being able to just straight up copy Moro's power. That was bad enough for me and I thought that plot-point of Moro being power-drained and then just eating 7-3 to ne...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Funny how some people are already judging this arc, this while we basically know 'jack shit' about the story. I don't see anyone judging the arc? I don't even know how it would be possible to judge the arc considering it doesn't even exist yet. Granoly takes Seventhree's remains. Somehow he's kept ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I’m just glad we are back to the original Dragon Ball Formula where the consequences of past arcs lead into the next arc, something almost entirely nonexistent in Super. 7-3 still being around is interesting because he has a very overpowered ability and for the arc total he was underwhelming. 7-3, ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Regardless of faulty Dragon Ball memory or Moro being/not being a pastiche of all Dragon Ball villains, can we not all agree that once Moro absorbed 7-3, that's all his power was about? It got so problematic that an angel had to seal his power. And by his power, I mean the android's copy power. The ...

Re: Vegeta's current development is really a good change?

Hmm... yeah, for a lot of his development, I've liked it, but you raise some interesting points. If Vegeta were to truly forge his own path, as SSBE seemed to evidence, then learning from Whis and learning from the Yardrats, to master just about every technique Goku ever learned, after Goku had mast...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I thought that as well, but after seeing how important of a role Uub played in taking down Moro, I think they're now laying the groundwork for post EOZ stories with Uub. I think it's more like tying loose ends and answering people's question as to why Goku thinks of Uub as an important student, bec...

Re: So what’s the deal with Uub’s “God Power”???

I think the point is just, "Uub has god ki and so can ascend to god-level tiers of ki power." I think, if anything is meant to be taken from that small bit of the early Moro arc, that's got to be it. Toyo setting up a reason why it might make any sense at all for Uub to be able to be as po...

...Is it so unthinkable that Goku would be intrigued by Moro's power? Unthinkable? Of course not. Intrigued? Sure. But impressed by his potential, impressed so much that he finds it a waste to kill such an evil being, intrigued so much so as to lament that if only Moro weren't an evil wizard and tr...
