but i do agree with one criticism about this arc: they have borrowed way too much from the original that it feels like a toei movie.
which begs the question: what happens when they run out of material to use because they have completely used up everything.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
So the current translation goes on to say that Goku offers Moro the senzu bean on the condition that Moro promise not to hurt anyone else and to willingly turn himself in, after Goku gives him the senzu bean . To which, of course, Moro goes, "oh, yes, of course, thank you Goku, yes, I promise....

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I gotto go to work so going leave with this. This fandom has a history of freaking out over stuff based of spoilers which we don't even have and the final reveal being totally different from what we expected. Everyone is focusing on the senzu bean because its like cell and forgetting he gave it to p...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
What if in the next panel, realizing Moro can't change, one punches him to death, ending the story  I really hope this happens, as I'm beyond ready for this arc to end. That's not going to happen though, as Vegeta still needs a round 2, Beerus needs to fight, and maybe Buu for good measure. ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I've no idea how anyone didn't see this coming; we just had a lengthy discussion like 8 pages ago about how likely and in-character this would be. It's almost like people would rather pretend like that's not true so that they can get angry about it when it happens... You be surprise how litt...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
This is not Cell and I don't think this is is even Freeza.
The former came from over confidence in his son, the latter came from pure pity.
This seems like Goku is purposely baiting.

Wasn't the whole point of the Cell saga to show that Gohan can't replace Goku?
I have never really agreed with the idea that Gohan should have been the main character after Goku died. Mostly being that he would just be like Ichigo and reactive to the world around him. This is not true for Goku who makes things happen and allows for a simple series to not have bend to the will ...

Goku defeating Moro will be his first solo win in all of modern dragon ball
Dragon ball suffers a lot from the Mandela effect but one of the biggest ones has to be Goku always gets the win.

Has Super's reputation softened or hardened since it ended?
I don't see a lot of defense videos like I do of GT nor do I see a lot of critique videos like I do of GT. It seems to get a general consensus of a 7 out of 10 and thats where I place it as well.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Literally everything you said here was the dumbest thing I have ever read on this site, including from the strength thread. Let's see if this is true. The execution is bad because he gave them a big story but didn't do much with it and no one would call him out on it. If someone didn't care about t...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Toriyama should just character to character designs like in GT, let someone else do the outlines. Come on, imagine how great this arc couldve been if someone like Kubo or Kishimoto were doing it instead, better character development, better antagonists that arent copy and pasty generic villain numb...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
The execution is bad because he gave them something too large and let them do it themselves but the overall problem is that everyone doesn't question him even though he lets them decide everything that actual matters ? Toriyama lets everyone do whatever they want, he does not care which is why he d...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
How do you know he has no plans for them ? If its because these are supposed to be the strongest of them all, may I remind you, he did the same thing with Freeza. And regardless of that, its still their execution of the events. This arc was doomed from conception based off the sheer magnitude of it...

Re: Why Krillin wasn't wasted in TOP
They hyped every character in the tournament. Kuriren got some episodes, Gohan and Piccolo got multiple episodes, 17 got some some episodes, Tenshinhan and Roshi got episodes, Freeza got some episodes, Vegeta was in the background constantly, 18 was in most Kuriren episodes as well. The fact is, so...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I guess Vegeta's the rival Beerus was looking for, because Goku would crush him with no difficulty now. That’s actually a good idea. If super ever comes back, let vegeta attain MUI fighting beerus while training, and then beerus would have wished he never met Saiyans  Except that Beerus can at...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I'm not going to say, Toei doesn't care because I don't know if they personally do, its more like they simply didn't have a plan to handle everything this arc could have done. I think more of the blame is on Toriyama as it's his outline wasting everything in one go. He had no business introducing a...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
This arc has legitimately been the absolute worst in all of canon dragonball If i don't include the retellings (I actually liked the BOG one though). Pacing: Absolutely horrible. Moments that have no need to be drawn out are such as Jiren constantly no selling things, vegeta fighting in base for a ...
