Re: Does the Toei sticker always confirm an official product

While I'm not familiar with any examples, I think it has been mentioned that there have been a very small amount of bootlegs that created their own Toei stickers. From what I do know though is that it is incredibly rare to come across, so you should be fine really. Just avoid buying from places like...

Re: If you could borrow Trunks time machine...

Join Kanzenshuu when it was originally Daizesnhuu EX in 2005 and join under the name of "Future Trunks". I will be like "The next Dragon Ball show is not AF, but Super. It won't be out until 10 years from now. It will have a new form called "Super Saiyan God", not SSj5. It ...

One of the few things I liked that they changed was how Cell survived his own explosion.

Has Kikuchi inspired other Composers?

Was listening to a track on the Pokemon Anime Sound Collection and came across this particular track - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMkIvjxONbU First thought: "This sounds very Kikuchi". It honestly wouldn't surprise me if the person who composed this track was, even if a tiny bit, insp...

what do you think of the Westwood scripts?
You might as well ask what you think of the in-house Funimation script. The Westwood dub copied off Funimation word-for-word, barring some changes here and there with extra censorship.

Re: Who else could voice Broly?

I actually haven't seen the Broli movies, but I've heard from some games. Is Steven Blum that low of a voice? I don't think so. Steve Blum has some insane range. He had a pretty long run as wolverine in cartoons. He was starscream for a bit, he's also been Guilmon, he's also Roger Smith, Spike Spie...

Definitely will have to agree with the Steve Blum posts. He's got the right range and voice for the character in both forms.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread

Hey, so, you know that SDCC Freeza arc Goku figuart? I found that on ebay right now for $165. I know it's a toy, but, like, it looks so cool. Is it worth it? Should I hold off? What do I do? Ask yourself. 1. Does it look cool? (You've admitted this) 2. Are you interested in figures? 3. Do you have ...

So? If someone's whole name is Mark, no last name, and he is a doctor, wouldn't you call him Dr. Mark? That's the case and it makes perfect sense. If you want any more proof, here: http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=21630 I might call him Dr. Mark. Are you claiming Brief(s) is ...

Re: Was the original Dragonball the best dub FUNI ever did?

In terms of DB products? Definitely not. Kai and the recent movies are vastly superior, both in terms of acting and scripts. In general? Hell no. If I really had to rank it based on their entire company catalog of dubbed shows, it would be pretty low. Not garbage like the Z dub but certainly not hig...

Re: My Experience Watching Dragon Ball Z Kai

-Chris Cason has taken over Sabat's old role as Mr. Popo. This voice sounds somewhat similar enough, still being sophisticated, but I think it's too early to make a judgement here. Which is hilarious in hindsight as he originally voiced Mr Popo back when Funimation first started dubbing Dragon Ball...

Yeah it is! I hope someday he stops making money off these tracks. He can only make money on it nowadays if it airs on TV, which the last time it happened was only for the Toonami April Fools event back in 2012. He gets no royalties on any of the home releases due to the court case he lost against ...

Re: Can we rate the home releases of the show?

Do people really consider the Ultimate Uncut Editions to be a distinct release? It just seems like a continuation of FUNimation's other uncut singles, albeit with the Mexican dub. It was at the point where they were going back and dubbing over their previous content and allowing to release those ep...

Stop bringing up Pokemon. It's clear that shit is for even younger audience than the other shows. It's hardly any different to what Hellspawn28 quoted. Every single show he listed are intended for the same age bracket but nonetheless can be appreciated by other age groups. And that's why Kai and Su...

I also loved the dubbed version of "Over the Star." I liked it when I heard it on TV, but when somebody was able to extract the song from the DVD release, I friggin' loved it...it gave me chills. That reminds me. Did anyone ever do the same for Ginyu Force Rules? Can't seem to find the En...
