Re: Cell's intelligence
There we go, took me forever to find it, but here was the quote I was looking for. It's when Cell is trying to convince Vegeta to allow him to absorb Android 18: Vegeta-"So you're saying that if you had your perfect form...you wouldn't lose to me?" Cell-"That's right! I wouldn't lose ...

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
I go with the numbers in the Daizenshuu, and have Vegeta at 24,000 and Dodoria at 22,000. However, the reason that I think this particular fight is so one sided when, according to the numbers, it shouldn't be, is Dodoria mindset and character. He's already seen Vegeta's power on his scouter, and he ...

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
Vegeta still put more effort in that blast to kill him than Cui's. Well, yeah. Dodoria is stronger. But you have no way of knowing how much stronger. Which is why you can't have a clear difference in Vegeta and Dodoria's powers. Which wouldn't be a problem, except you keep using this fight to justi...

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
He also toyed with Dodoria first, obviously wanting to make him suffer. He just blew Kui up. I don't see how this would prove that Dodoria is much stronger than Kui.

So, had a really boring day over spring break, and went through and read all your guides, and....wow. This is beyond impressive. I have learned so much that I would never had otherwise about my favorite series from your work, and I really appreciate it. Thanks a lot!

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
I don't know about that (I haven't even seen the numbers they gave them in there) but the manga states they are under 24K, I just analyze their respective fights and give a number base on their performance, 20K for Dodoria and 22K for Zarbon. Well, if you want to use that logic, how do you figure t...

Re: Gohan's SSJ2 as a teen
IMO, a substantial part of SSJ2 Gohan's power was from his rage. What I'm wondering is if he would have been able to keep going into a frenzy after he matured as he got older. Also, how would he train? The most effective training on Earth is, IMO, sparring, and their was no one around Gohan's streng...

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
Goku's Warp Kamehameha injured Cell to the point where Goku noticed that Cell's power had dropped, and he was much weaker than Cell. Vegeta was much, much weaker than Cell, and his Final Flash would have crippled him if he couldn't regenerate. There's two examples of weaker fighers damaging stronger...

Re: Freeza, his species, and his transformations.
I like to think that Chilled lived before his race "mutated" and gained their immense power. I think Cold could possibly have transformed, but was killed too quickly to do it. Trunks wouldn't stand around watching an enemy get stronger like Vegeta, Krillin, and Gohan did.

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
You didn't say that he had to be able to fend off the one who hurt him. Krillin was less than a 10th of Vegeta's strength, and Vegeta was weakened to the point where he was helpless by fighters weaker than him. But Vegeta was not weakened but a weaker fighter... It's not the same scenario as Raditz...

EDIT: also, give me one, one example in the manga when a fighter gets weakened by a weaker fighter to the point they can't even fend off a character that was 1/3 off him.

Re: Could the Earthlings do Gravity Training?
Goku was affected by the gravity when he first arrived... a dead obviously doesn't matters... As I understand it, Kamiccolo9 isn't saying that Saiyans are naturally able to stand and move around in high gravity. High gravity can still make it hard for a Saiyan to move around and fight, obviously. H...

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Buuhan being far more intelligent wins this in a land slide. I feel like this intelligence could be a downside though. Pure Buu doesn't have the sense of self preservation that Buuhan has, and would utilize way more powerful attacks from the beginning. I feel that Buuhan wouldn't take him seriously...

Re: Dragon Ball vs. Dragon Ball Z vs. Dragon Ball GT!
I'm going to cheat a little, and say from the end of Dragonball through early Dragonball Z, ending after the Freeza Arc. I prefer the more serious direction taken to the earlier, more comedic stuff, and like you said, most of the characters are still relevant. My two favorites, Piccolo and Krillin, ...
