Gohan looked badass in Ultra Instinct and Piccolo was hilarious and awesome. I kind of wish we got to see Yamcha though. Yamcha would have vibed well with this tone.

Amazing character.

His mini arc in the tournament of power in dragon ball super was actually really enjoyable too. It actually sort of saved the show from being terrible. Along with some moments from Android 17.

Before there was Naruto there was Hunter x Hunter. Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio going through an eccentric series of tests that culminates with a tournament. Sounds a lot like the Chunin exams, doesn't it? And for a long time Sasuke was a dollar store Kurapika.
