Oh yeah, they definitely still aired Ocean stuff on Toonami in the US. I distinctly remember, because I moved to Texas in May 2003, the Buu saga had just finished up, and they started back over with Raditz.

Damn, over the years I collected every single Uncut VHS volume, the orange bricks, Blu Ray season sets, Blue Bricks, Green Bricks, Double Feature steelbooks, roughly 10 of the video games, 10-15 Dragon Ball T-shirts, and a handful of action figures. I’m gonna guess somewhere in the realm of $4000

This is why I wish there could be a Rock the Dragon follow up, where we get the 99/00 Toonami broadcast versions of the Freeza through Cell arcs. Of course, the amount of people who would be interested in such a release is so small, it’ll never happen.

In grade school, someone tried to convince me that Androids #1-15 made cameos throughout Dragon Ball and early Z. He said that Alligator sunbathing on Roshi’s Island was one of them. He said Arale was one of them.

This is one of my biggest woes as well. I mean, aesthetically, the Blue, Orange and Green bricks line up so nicely on a shelf together. If only the contents of the bricks were all consistent with one another.

Oh for sure, with the exception of YuYu Hakusho and Spirited Away, I can’t stand any of the other anime I’ve seen.

It looks really cool, especially the shots of Goku walking past Kame House and Capsule Corp. I know there was a lot of work put into a potential “Legacy of Goku 4” by Webfoot a few years ago. I wonder if that led to this in any way shape or form.

There’s just something about it... Chris Sabat once said in an interview that he thought Dragon Ball has some sort of bizarre “visual drug” in it that made it so addicting. As silly as that sounds, I totally get what he’s saying. And that’s not to discredit the other anime out there.

I would be pretty annoyed if the EoZ got retconned. However brief it is, it’s a part of the original run. So to dispute it would be sacrilege, in my opinion.
