Re: Freeza isn't the type to train?

Given that he is one of the most skilled fighters in the series, it goes without question that he did train in the past, but he also definitely had an abnormal power from the start. Sure. He is a "mutant". The Saiyans always had the potential for even greater power than humans or even Fre...

Re: Freeza isn't the type to train?

What makes you think he had to train to get these attacks? Even a (relative) weakling like Tenshinhan can learn attacks from just watching them once. Tenshinhan is supposed to be at least a talented martial artist who has trained enough to have understanding of ki attacks. The first couple of times...

Re: Freeza isn't the type to train?

And learning all his different attacks, and learning how to suppress and increase his ki within a form, and learning how to buff up to increase his power in his final form. His discs are pretty impressive and better than Krillin's. He might not train like the Saiyans do, but I'm sure he trained a lo...

Freeza isn't the type to train?

This seems to be a fairly common fan belief, and it was used in Dragonball Multiverse as well. Does it appear anywhere in the manga or anime, or is it just a wholesale fan invention? Did people assume he isn't the type to train even though he has all these incredible varied attacks and seems obsesse...

Re: Did Vegeta attack the rest of Freeza's empire in the man

It's still possible Toriyama came up with it. Maybe there's a note from Toriyama to the anime staff that we'll never see.

Re: What does the Z sword weigh?

This was the same sword that Kibito couldn't even budge with two arms which would mean he wouldn't even be close to being 10x as strong as Goku was at the very start of the series even though he could supposedly give Gohan a difficult fight. As numerically established, Goku at the start of the seri...

Re: Could have 22nd WMAT Tenshinhan easily won the 21st WMAT

Tenshinhan could probably one shot the tourney. Though if Goku goes Oozaru, Tenshinhan gets stomped unless he somehow figures out Oozaru Goku's weakness. Character wise, he (like everyone else in DB!) likes to draw things out, but even so his earlier matches will probably be finished quicker than t...

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse

I think East Kaioshin is jumping to conclusions, but I'm very glad they're bringing up the weirdness of forgiving Buu. It just seemed too reckless an attitude to have - as if every character cares as much about this tournament as someone like Vegetto would. I thought it was weird at the time that Gr...

Re: Could Tenshinhan's Tribeam or Dodon Ray be a planet bust

No, it'd be the same series, because every attack can. I don't know why people have such a problem with the official explanation here. Every attack has the power to destroy a planet, but they somehow use their ki control to make sure it only affects a small area. I don't have a problem with the ide...

Alternatively - and this one is a bit out there - SS raises his power a lot more than for the adults.

Re: Could Tenshinhan's Tribeam be a planet buster?

There are two possibilities that come to mind: 1: Every attack which can destroy a planet, including physical ones (conservation of energy) is suppressed in a way that confines the effects to a particular area. 2: There's not a one to one relationship between the amount of stuff you can blow up and ...

Freeza was amazing. That reminds me of something I've wanted to know for a while... Was LittleKuriboh intentionally channeling Richard Dawkins when he was doing Freeza?

Re: DragonBall Z Abridged

I'm excited for it! Soon?

I do know that if DBZA ever gets to the Buu saga, now we need the characters to just stop in the middle of the episode and start arguing every aspect of how Buu's changing round in circles.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse

the specials are done because the DBM crew thinks that certain stories need to be told This is so strange to me, because it seems like the vast majority of the specials didn't reveal any new information that wasn't already implicit in the concept of the particular universe, or didn't need to be elu...

Re: Fanmanga - Dragon Ball New Age

To be honest, I am REALLY looking forward to that arc. Next to the World Tournament, that has been my favorite arc to plot out. It's going to be such a departure from anything that has been done in Dragon Ball. Assassins and killers have been sent to recover Dragon Balls and such before, but the go...

Nah, he just says "...and that Piccolo guy's brains"' while going over what he was absorbing. He never mentions "intelligence", or changing his personality. Ah, so I remembered wrong. He didn't actually get any smarter, he just learned facts that Piccolo knew and his attacks. He...

Re: DragonBall Z Abridged

Didn't Super Buu talk about the "intelligence of Piccolo" when he was planning to absorb him? I'm sure his personality much have changed. The fact that he was able to plan for Gohan from before suggests he's smart already, but did he get smarter yet again? The manga seems to suggest that I...

Re: How much jump in power between 21st & 22nd Budokai?

Very large jumps in actual capability, as people have stated, but the power level jumps will be tiny. I like to semi-justify this with Toriyama talking about how muscular strength can only take you so far, and then you need ki to become the strongest in the universe. They were all using ki at that p...

Re: 4th form Freeza in the newest canon?

There's always been a non-linear relationship between how much stuff you can blow up and how much damage you can do. Big explosions seem to matter, but only up to a point. But if you assign some deal of importance to the intention behind the attacks, it works a little better. I agree, but the reason...
