Which of the 3 modern films has the best promotional song?
What's your favourite of the 3 promotional songs? So the choices are: 1. Battle of Gods - Hero https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fI3maNT2hU8 2. Revival of F: Momoiro Clover z - The Oath Of z https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIcAyinoWus 3. Broly: Daichi Miura - Blizzard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H...

Re: DragonBall Z Abridged
    I thought re-recording Unmei no Hi was genius. I got shivers in that scene. What great dialogue you guys write. Also, MasakoX's performance was fantastic. I think easily the best of his career. He seemed almost menacing when Goku was giving his monologue to Piccolo (I lov...

Re: New Dragon Ball has succeeded where new Star Wars failed
I think this thread went off track with arguing if the new Star Wars (or DB Super) was good or not. The true cause of the thread is to tell Dragon Ball fans that they can call themselves very lucky have seen their iconic characters (with their original voice actors no less) + the spirit of the show...

Re: New Dragon Ball has succeeded where new Star Wars failed
3- "Sintzu's" comment of "Compared to the force awakens' 2.1 billion" is basically a "mike drop" comment. No. No, it's not. It's not even close to a mic drop comment, actually. For someone who complains about the whole "burn the past" theme, I'd think you'd b...

Re: New Dragon Ball has succeeded where new Star Wars failed
People are allowed to dislike whatever they want, but a great deal many of the criticisms towards the latest SW movie have been because Johnson subverted their expectations . . I think that's a very simplistic and condescending way to undermine legitimate criticism by, yes, an extremely large porti...

Re: New Dragon Ball has succeeded where new Star Wars failed
tl;dr - I'm complaining about Lucasfilms being crap, and sound like a whiny baby It's easy to compare both series, but it's also hard to compare. One on hand, they're both old series that laid the groundwork in their respective genre for the years to come (Shonen for Dragon Ball and Sci-Fi for Star...

Re: New Dragon Ball has succeeded where new Star Wars failed
ummmm... On Star Wars. That franchise is one of the largest examples of fictional world-building, and y ou just want it to continually focus on the same characters? That's fucking dull. And it's one of the reasons why I don't care for The Force Awakens because, while it seemed to set itself up as a...

Re: New Dragon Ball has succeeded where new Star Wars failed
For the record, Mark Hamill has disavowed those critical comments about The Last Jedi. But as someone who likes both modern Dragon Ball AND modern Star Wars (or at least the new trilogy; Rogue One bored me and I couldn't care less about Rebels or Solo; Obi Wan might get a go if they get Ewan McGreg...

Re: New Dragon Ball has succeeded where new Star Wars failed
Anyway, what exactly did the people who complain about The Last Jedi want from that movie? You do realise the one saying "burn the past" is the villain, right? And that the movie takes Rey's side in the argument with Luke about whether the Jedi should remain, and his arc is ultimately abo...

New Dragon Ball has succeeded where new Star Wars failed
Pre: I just want to mention I don't hate the new Star Wars direction. I'm just reflecting on how a significant portion of the fan base was left disappointed by it. I honestly think Dragon Ball has succeeded where Star Wars failed. Think about how lucky we are that we got to see a continuation of Dr...

Re: Your personal canon for Dragon Ball
1. Dragon Ball - all of it 2. Dragon Ball Z - everything minus the Fake Namek episodes. - Includes both TV specials. 3. Battle of Gods 4. Resurrection F 5. Dragon Ball Super - Only Episodes 1-2, and 15-18. - then 28 until the end. (basically anything that is in the BOF or ROF movies is out) 6. Jako

Re: Super Episode 130 (18 March 2018)
This episode felt like a gift to Dragon Ball fans. I can't believe we were given something of such quality. To think that a series asleep for 18 years can still this good.

Re: Super Episode 130 (18 March 2018)
Guys, this is the most important episode in the history of Dragon Ball. Honestly, I've been around the internet and the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. I'm talking twitter, forums, youtube reviews, reactions, talking to people in the street. The kids at the school I teach have lost their ...

I think this reaction video is legit gold. This guy is wearing a Red Ribbon army hat, and behind him there's an Android 17 plushy. So he's a fan. You'll rarely see a human reach nirvana at the reveal. Start at 19:42.

Re: Super Episode 130 (18 March 2018)
It seems a lot of people here think they really know how Goku is. That Goku simply doesn't give up based on his own love for battle. When has this been the case? The biggest moment of Goku "giving up" was when he realized he couldn't beat Cell. But his "giving up" was actually pa...

Re: Super Episode 130 (18 March 2018)
Dude. You're awesome I know it's hard to believe, but DBZ was an well written anime. It wasnt trying to be Evangelion, but people seem to have forgotten that, during the height of DB, Toriyama was a master storyteller. Super comes nowhere near the heights of Z. It is a lesser entry in every way. Le...

Re: Super Episode 130 (18 March 2018)
Say what you will, but this will go down as one of the most memorable Dragon Ball episodes ever. Just look at these crowd reactions! I have never seen something like this before. People are losing their minds when they see Freeza and 17. It's such a great way to end the episode and it leaves people...

That's a bad idea for obvious reasons, not to mention it's an idea that doesn't even make much sense. What would contacting them and complaining do? Of course most of you guys complain about friendship power up or bla bla in this episode . You guys can complain to this site http://corp.toei-anim.co...

Re: Super Episode 130 (18 March 2018)
I'm relieved to be honest. Sure Goku's last wind was cliche and safe, but it wasn't disrespectful to the series like say something the Last Jedi was to Star Wars. I'd love it for Dragon Ball to be 10/10 perfection. But I think what we got was a spectacle for the ages and I'm very glad to have this a...
