Re: Official "DB 2018 Movie" Discussion Thread
I'm really liking how the movie is looking. Also, worldwide release? The gap between Japanese and American release really does shrink between each of these movies.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
There are only 2 episodes left and the "real" fight just now begins. Rushed finale or cliffhanger? Doesn't really need to be rushed or a cliffhanger. 1 episode should be enough to wrap up the fight and end the tournament (either by time or ring out), then one episode to conclude things. A...

Re: Do fans of the English dub use the SSJ term?
Definitely SSJ. Whether it's a boat or a reference to WWII era Germany, SS is not the ideal choice.
Besides, been using SSJ since the late 90s. Too late to change now, lol.

Well, much to my joy, I managed to summon LR Broli a few days back. He's expensive and time consuming to level, but I'm working on it. Will be handy for the next World Tournament.

Re: Is Viz gonna complete the Dragon Ball Z full color manga?
It's really weird ro see how long they seem to be taking with this publication. Although, it seems Viz is pretty slow when it comes to releases for a lot of things according to what I've heard. One could argue that they want to let the hype build a bit, and also give a bit of a gap so they don't bu...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming...
Too little too late? What makes you say that? I think what he's saying is that Ocean Kai should have aired much earlier. That's exactly what I'm saying. FUNi's Kai dub ran from the middle of 2010 to the beginning of 2012 (not counting 98 airing on TV like a year later). We're only a few months from...

So, no guarantee, but a new channel is considering the Ocean Kai? Huh. That's surprising. Well, I still thing it's a bit on the too little, too late side...but genuine congratulations to those who would enjoy it if it does end up airing. Well, it ever ends up in Super, they need to have Chris Sabat ...

Re: Was Vegeta at his best during the Saiyan and Namek arcs?
Not sure how many people will agree...but honestly, I think Super has been amazing for Vegeta's character. I think he's been at his best in recent months/years. Though I can't deny, Vegeta had a lot going for him as a villain (both primary in Saiyan and secondary in Namek for a time before he formal...

They just announced a new BoG story event with a farmable SS2 Vegeta. Right now it's a global exclusive event. Fingers crossed for a farmable Beerus in there too  Well, it's not SSJ2 Vegeta, it's base Vegeta who turns into SSJ2 Vegeta & Bulma. Farmable for the SSJ2 Vegeta in the new su...

It's always interesting to get a little of the behind-the-scenes stuff behind the localization of a beloved franchise, much appreciated! It's amazing how much things have changed from your late 90s/early 00s era dubbing to now. Thanks guys! Re:Attitudefan. I've never met Ron Wasserman, just learned ...

Re: Will Blooma die during/after ToP?
They will not kill Bulma. They will replace her voice actress like anyone else. The only character I could see having that treatment is Goku. Honestly, I don't even see Goku getting that treatment. Look at Mel Blanc, the "Man of a Thousand Voices". He voiced almost every major Looney Tune...

Re: MistareFusion's Dragon Ball Dissection! (Updated 12/25/17!)
You know, for Cooler's Shredder form, I just always assumed it wasn't part of the forms used to restrict his power, but one he discovered that increased his power, a proper powering up transformation (which Freeza would later do as well in Resurrection 'F'). Good review Gaffer! I've always been part...

Re: DragonBall Z Abridged
I'm really confused. Why is it a problem if a parody helps someone get back into something they enjoy? Seriously, what exactly is the problem there? Do you know how many people who love Star Trek enjoyed Galaxy Quest and are enjoying Orville? What if someone got back into Star Trek because of those...

I honestly don't mind another second English dub of Kai. And let's face something, you can't please everyone (some people never became accostumed to the Funi voices). I want to see this dub because I'm a big fan of the Vancouver talent pool and their dubs (Death Note, Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, Gundam, B...

Re: MistareFusion's Dragon Ball Dissection! (Updated 6/12/17!)
Part 10, because even when breaking down the story, this arc is still eternal. It's a fun ride, but damn, does it drag in places. The original anime is definitely the worst at that aspect, but even the manga and Kai could have used a bit more streamlining for the sake of a healthy pace. I can't wait...

That wasn't intentional though. Broli is very clearly trying to attack the audience, which is against the rules.FoolsGil wrote:Doesn't seem so, Eleim used God's Blade against Bra and cut off limbs from the audience and Uub. The fight continued.

Re: When will FUNimation re-release dbz again?
Kai has been on TV pretty continuously for many years now (with a little gap between the end the Nicktoons/Toonzai era and the Toonami era), whereas Z has not been around for a long time. The old dub may have a lot of nostalgia for many people, but the longer FUNimation runs Kai like this, the more ...
