Re: Fanmanga - another DBAF

The art is absolutely delicious. The story isn't anything special, but Ize's character design is awesome. I'd love to read this thing someday.

Giving myself a bump to say: I've cleared the first 13 episodes! If you haven't checked out the blog yet, now is as good a time as ever. Its been a blast to write, as well as rewatch the series!

Re: Some perspective on Kikuchi's music

What "feels" like Dragon Ball is entirely subjective, and Kikuchi's score is undoubtedly a product of its time. Tarble's Theme from the 2008 special is a very close approximation of the Faulconer style, and it originates from Japan. Perhaps, but the neurology of music and memory is very d...

Re: Location of the Gohan vs. Dabra fight?

And I thought I was the only one who actually liked Dabra's badassness. He's evil, intelligent and strong for a non-android being who doesn't absorb everyone around. He was my go-to character back in the Budokai 2 days. My friends knew I was getting serious if I was whipping out the Evil Dance . I ...

Re: What would happen if Goku chose to be God?

I reckon Goku would be a very hands on Kami. But I don't see him doing it for long, because he gets bored so easily. Still - he more or less gets the role thrust upon him again and again, so a formal title and office in the clouds would only slow him down.

Re: Location of the Gohan vs. Dabra fight?

No idea where it took place, but I must admit I'm a big fan of the scenery there. My best bet would be that it's Dabra's home world, just for precedent's sake. Man, Dabra was a great villain. Agreed. He's seriously underrated. And I hate that his death is a measuring stick for Buu... though it is o...

Re: Zarbon Theory

I have a theory that Zarbon's monster form was actually his true form, and that the form we first see him in (his "beautiful" form) is a suppression, like Freeza's forms before the final one. Reason being that Zarbon explains that he doesn't want to transform because it's ugly, but the fa...

Re: Was Bebi Better Suited As A Final Villain Than Yi Xing L

Hell no. Yi Xing Long was an AMAZING final villain. He is far more fitting than even any DBZ villain IMO. It wrapped things up nicely having the Dragon Balls finally turn evil from overuse and the Z-Senshi having to learn to protect the Earth without relying on poor Goku and Shen Long all the damn ...

Re: Dragonball Vs. Non Dragonball

Gag or not, it's canon. ;3 It's not that simple when it's contradicted later. Are you telling me Goku only found it hard to breath at Kami's lookout, the Room of Spirit and Time, and underwater, because he thought he needed air? And that he'd survive without a planet to stand on even though Freeza ...

Re: Good idea to bring back Freeza?

Freeza created greater shock. But from a logical point of view, he should have died and only Cold should have gone to Earth. The gang would have stated that his power was very similar and comparable to that of Freeza, only slightly weaker. And Cold would have firmly believed that his son had been k...

Re: Why didn't Yamcha ever surpass Tenshinhan or Kuririn?

Nope, he never did. He practised a little when fighting Chioutzu. He saw Yamcha did it so he wanted to try it next, but Roshi states he hasn't really mastered it (paraphrase) Exactly,Krillin and Roshi were very surprised when Yamcha did kamehameha. Well, think about it this way - Yamcha knew what t...
