Thanks for the link! I'm reading this right now as we speak. I find kinda odd that Goku would say something like "I won't go destroying things as rumored on the internet forums." And yes, I can read Chinese. Been translating Chinese for years. You may have seen some of my work in DVD relea...

I remember at one point, the Cantonese dub theme song was sung by Ekin Cheng. He's the star of Hong Kong movies like "The Stormriders", "A Man Called Hero" and the "Young and Dangerous" series.

I recall there is a Cantonese version of "Chala Head Chala" but I do believe all the others songs were kept in its original Japanese versions. The Cantonese version of "Cha La" was only used in TVB's television broadcast of the series. But they were nowhere to be found in the ho...

No, no, no, no, no!!!!! This movie is going to bomb. Curse Hollywood for not letting Asian filmakers make a live action Dragonball the way it's meant to be made. I can't believe Chow Yun-Fat skipped out on John Woo's Red Cliff films (which was actually pretty good, by the way) for this piece of shi...

While we're at it, are there any podcasts about Asian movies? And no, I don't mean just anime. I mean, Johnnie To, old school Chow Yun-Fat, John Woo and etc. Ooh, and Mr. Vampire too!

Isn't bootlegging in China legal? Like that's why some of the DB dvd's that come from there are high quality in real shrink wrap packaging with original art and so on? You ARE aware that there are legitimate DVD/VCD releases of the Dragonball series in China, do you? Seriously, I'm sick of hearing ...

While it is true about the CRTC's ruling about Canadian content to be aired in Canada, it's not so much in the case of Dragon Ball Z. As mentioned earlier by another forum member, it was pretty much due to YTV being annoyed with Funimation's slow delivery of episodes. They had a feud over it for a l...

I've been trying to buy this book in Toronto.
None of the Indigo bookstores are carrying it. Does anyone know where else in Toronto I can buy this book? I might need to check Chapters for it too but I hardly have time for it.

Old Dragonball TV special?

So I was downloading some old Dragonball (not Z) anime subtitled in Chinese and I stumbled upon this OVA which I had never heard of. I don't speak Japanese so I can't exactly get the Japanese title of it for you guys. But it's basically titled "Dragon Ball: Traffic Safety". It starts off w...

Bah... the PAL would pry get to me, unless I tried to change it myself. I'm sure there're guides for it... maybe I will end up importing these. It's not too hard to author subs, because I figure there would already be a timecode for Spanish ones. The problem is dual-layer DVDs, my computer doesn't ...
